Advice please on how to go about becoming a Carer for a Mighty N
uovo Falcone.

I have been studying the Mighty Nuovo Falcone for a long time
now after seeing one at the Stafford Show and falling for it`s
quirky/unique charm.I have become convinced that I would like to
own one and have in £3500 cash available.Am I being unreasonable
in expecting to buy a tidy low mileage runner for this sort of
money or do I need to keep adding to the piggy bank?I would be
grateful if experienced owners could offer some advice. At my age
,I would love to experience ownership but probably don't have
that much time left to achieve this ambition.Thank you very much
all advice appreciated.

I think you should be able to find a good'un for that money,
some dealers have more extravagant ideas about how much NF's are
worth.

I bought my 1970 Carabinieri NF in Saarbruken, Germany in 2009
and paid £2800 (from memory)

Do not sell velo before you try one! they are heavier and left
hand side kick start is awkward at first .Try and find one with
electric starter and have it demonstrated as to how it operates
. ..Prices ? I bought two .NFs last year.one private and one
from NLM. Buying from a dealer gives you some peace of mind .
Good Luck

I am sure the electric start is good, but the NF is a really
easy bike to kick start. Using the valve lifter, ease it over
tdc and push, it really is that simple (and I have bad knees
from rugby)

I find mine really easy to start, the dynostart isnt really
nescessary and lack of dynostart shouldnt put you off. Nice to
have but not essential

I agree with Rascall - my Civile is so much easier to start than
my AJS 350.

I agree with the others, easy to kick start.I have a knackered
left ankle and find that starting is easy, usually first kick.I
have the bike on the side stand, ease over compression and 'kick'
( more like a push ) with my right foot.Simples.

Your budget should be OK,I bought my ex Italian traffic police
bike, with only 8000 kilometres on the clock, for less than that.
Mine purchased here in France, not known for cheap s/h bikes.
