       The Beast

       Hi Guys again !
Flushed with success I am !
Not only have I created a post but I've added attachments too.
Not such a computer dummy after all (no that's not true, I am !)
And so I thought that I would continue and post my 'artists
impression' of how a custom N.F. might look.
Yes it's ugly! But then I knew it would be ! (but much improved
with a Ducati petrol tank) maybe that will come under phase 3 of
       the development programme.
In the meantime the creative juices are still flowing and 'The
Beast' is being prepared to appear again in the Spring in a much
       improved form.
Some time soon I'll post a full technical description because
there might just be some aspects of the construction that will
       interest other Forum members.
In the meantime it's back to the polishing mop!
       Having lots of fun.
       Tonya

Now, if Mandello produced something along those lines........
       Let's say:
       Horizontal 650cc watercooled single (supercharged?)
       Under 400 lbs
       Minimal electronics
       Hmmm

There was talk, at the time that custom emerged, of a new single
on the cards, but let's not hold our collective breath!

I remember that article. Classic Bike Guide, I seem to recall. I
was intending to cafe-racerise mine to start with, but the
original grew on me. Got as far as taking off the leg shields,
air filter and exhaust. Quirky, fast enough and reliable, that's
       how I like it.

Just in case you ask, yes, my bike has alloy rims. When they
       were fitted, I've no idea?

The pic was taken at the Popham Mega Meet last year, the Harley
being between my NF and friend Eric Patterson's 1150 side valve
Brough, who I rode down with. Later that year, riding a special
framed OHV 1150 Brough, he set an AMA record at Bonneville Salt
Flats recording a time over 124 mph average. This year he return
with a Manx framed Vincent and set a new record at over 132 mph.
Not bad for a 68 year old pensioner.

Not the prettiest Harley in the world that.
Eric should try an Indian next time, and become the new World's
       Fastest Indian!
He's an inspiration to us old farts, that's for sure.
Waaaaaay off topic by the way!, Where's the Moderator when you
