Inevitably I sit towards the back of the "ample" saddle, but I
find 120 miles days no problem comfort wise (awaits Nick saying
his is only just warming up after that piffling distance) ;D

When I think about it, it's probably my knee, which doesn't bend
fully after an accident, which I've just worked out was 40 years
ago... :o

Even at 61, every time I get on a bike it makes me feel young :)
great therapy

Me too (64, 6'2"). I find there's plenty of room on the NF.
Dave -my longest day rides on the NF have been in the 400 - 500
mile range which, at NF road speeds means lots of wear on the
backside, even if the bike seems unflustered.
I just checked - in the 2 years I've owned it, I've ridden it
11,000 kms (just shy of 7000 miles), so not too much really,
although I can use the excuse that I do have 3 other bikes......
and I use the Eldo mainly for long rides. It's different here
though - it's 500 miles to just about anywhere, and when you get
there (as Jake will attest), there's not much of a destination.
I hope the Spada works out well for you. Just keep the lowers
safe so you can replace them if you decide to sell.
Nick

Interesting. An EV with a Convert motor and SP fairing. That
would be quite a touring bike. You in the market?

No; it was the same paint scheme as the above Spada, that was
all.
I need a new bike like a hole in the head right now!

Got the Spada home today, (p/ex'd my 350 Bullet with the Spada's
owner), it goes like a dream :) :) :) Only one niggle, it needed
a headlight bulb for the MOT (2 weeks ago) which the owner did.
Today when I left to come home, not working, main beam ok. Left
Colchester at 3pm, so had to hot foot it (120 miles) home on
side lights, tried the main beam in a dark lane near home, light
blew immediately. It this just chance? or might there be an
underlying problem. This is a minor niggle, I absolutely love
the bike (it's so smooth) So, 2 Guzzi's in my garage, am I
happy, you bet I am. The lower fairing will have to come off
though.

first try a really long run with the fairing lowers,
the spada fairing is amazingly effective,
on my le mans 2 i hardly get wet behind the fairing as long as i
can cruise above 120 km/h
these bikes are about fast cruising.
personally i love the looks of the fairing.
the bike is 30 years old, that is how a long distance tourer
looked 30 years ago
