       Found again, brilliant.
Although illness/injury means I am now Falcone-less; Dodgy knee
and back couldn't cope after many enjoyable miles this year on
the single. Problems man-handling and starting got
       steadily-worse and NHS wouldn't/couldn't help :(
I still have a bike (almost two NF's in one); a Guzzi 1000 SPNT.
:o Only thing that will get 'jip' starting now is a thumb.
Had looked into the dynastart option but failed and ended up
       with the SPNT.
Am I still welcome here? ???

       thanks for creating this forum.
i live in the netherlands, have been using my NF as a daily
       transport for years.
i've got more modern bikes , but end up taking the NF most of
       the time.
       cheers,
       Hubert

Course you are Mark, and really sorry to hear of your troubles.
I take it it's a leg problem if starting is the issue? Did you
not manage to find a Dynastart then? If that's the only problem,
maybe someone out there has the solution.

Welcome huub. Your knowledge will be very useful! I know what
you mean about the NF; it's my favourite ride as well, although
I use others for long distances, just for practicality.

Yes, knee (and back) and a failure to find a DynaStart meant I
was really struggling with the NF. A BMW K had to go too, not
for starting but too tall and heavy (too high-a COG, I think).
The Guzzi SP NT appears smaller and is more manageable than the
'K' and characterful riding round. As a touring guzzi doesn't
have a crippling position like a Le Mans of 'Café Racer clone'
and seems to ride nicely....albeit the NF seemed happier at low
speeds (still as a police/army bike that's not a surprise).
It also doesn't appear to have reached the dizzying heights
(cost-wise) of the LeMans types or earlier V7's; T and T3's (nor
the NF...). I guess its an age thing. In some respects it seems
rarer than the NF...at least in std un-butchered
       (café-racer-ised) form.
I have to thank Nick (in Canada) for making me see that other
Guzzi's could be an alternative, and keep me mobile; what with
his V750Sport (that wouldn't suit my back or knee!); his Breva
1100 (although possibly too modern, and costly for me) and his
Eldorado (which I gather is a 949cc too). The Spada has a more
suitable riding position; caters for two and appears 'simpler'
than really modern stuff....and possibly was similar to other
Carabinieri bikes that may have done some 'plod' work too.
Will it be ok, maybe to add any jottings on that on the other
       bikes tab; as stories unfold?

That's what it's for Mark. At some point you'll find one with an
       electric foot!

Hi all, David Wiggins here (Dave on forum) that's me in Ken
Joslin's picture on page 1. I am in the middle (bike with short
mega) as some may remember I had a calamitous misfortune last
year with a valve head coming off and punching a hole in the
piston (a la Huub, pics on ADVRider in Old's Cool section. I am
now a 570cc NF with 31 tooth rear sprocket) Well done Jake for
having the knowledge and time is setting this all up.

Howdy Guys. A few names on here that I already recognise and so
'I feel at home already'. Im actually just about to start and
put my NF back on the road (never owned one before but I do run
5 Brit bikes - mostly BSA). The x militaire NF was bought in a
complete, but run down condition and so I have stripped, nearly
repaired, reground (had reground that is), re bearinged and re
shimed where so far necessary. I like the Carribeana (I know
thats spelt wrong) colours and so I've sprayed in Midnight blue
in enamel, this looks really really well and sets of the
rechromed bits Ive had done. Anyway just a brief explanation of
where Im at (other than Cumbria that is) and I hope I can rely
on you guys when I run into potential problems or required
       advice.

Welcome Steve. There's at least one other NF in Cumbria, run by
a guy who used to post as Caliali (as he also has a Cali).Last
time he posted on the old forum, he had a sidecar attached, so
if you come across him in your travels, please let him know
       about the new forum.
       This is his bike here:
