Hi I am assuming the fuses are in the headlight shell will look
tomorrow I have a wiring diagram and can see the brown is live
up to the switch so will start there that goes from the handle
bar switch to the fuse box and then changes to red and onto the
ignition switch can any member confirm if this is right oops
forgot I am working on 1976 falcone Sahara model regards mike

Well it was quite simple found fuses in head light just as I
thought one blown replaced it with slightly uprated fuse but
have to wonder why it blew in the first place any way booked in
for mot can't wait to ride it brought the tick over up a little
it was slower than a stationary engine

Hi Mike
I had similar problems with mine when i first got it , the
headlight fuse had been replaced with a piece of wire , i
replaced it with a proper fuse and it lasted one ride before
it blew, this happened a few times and i started to understand
that my bike has an issue with the connections or something
in the terminal block. I bypassed the fuse holder and
eventually realised the problem was between the fuse holder and
the block , between the front and back of the bakelite
panel.. so hard to find and fix , i have bypassed that
connection , its not as neat as the original but its still
working fine now .
cheers
Ric

Hi thanks for that I had thought of fitting relays and using the
the fused wire just to switch them if the problem persist but
have not used it yet guess a daylight run withthe lights on will
be the test better than waiting and being plunged into the dark
thanks for your thoughts
Regards mike

Wiring at and around the handle bar switch might be worth
looking at too.
In the dim and distant past, I was the unfortunate and highly
unskilled owner of a TR25 Triumph Trailblazer, which had one
fuse for the entire bike.
And it kept blowing.
Given no way of knowing which circuit was the cause, the
solution was to short out the fuse, and look for the smoke.
I would emphasise that this practice is not recommended!
