Trike at a local show
By: cryospeed1 Date: September 11, 2015, 2:01 am

Hi I dont know if this is the right place for this but here it
is. I was at a local show on Sunday and got chatting to the
owner of the trike pictured. As he is severely disabled in his
right arm there are lots of mods on the bike to enable him to
continue to ride. In addition the trike is made to look like a
motorcycle combination as it was more comfortable for his wife
to travel in the sidecar than on the back of the trike. The
thing that fascinated me and nearly everyone else that spotted
it was a jar on the back with stainless steel cable in it and
water. In fact this separates the hydrogen and oxygen from the
water and feeds the gases into the fuel inlet. The unit requires
electricity which is provided by a separate battery in the
sidecar. This battery is charged by a solar panel built into the
lid of the trailer normally fitted to the trike. The solution in
the jar is actually sodium bicarbonate and water. He has a
similar but dry system fitted to his Morris minor which he
restored from scratch. He also built the trike. I got the
impression that no matter what obstacles his disability throws
up he overcomes them.

Well done to the guy for keeping riding through adversity.
I suspect the electrolytic cell is very much smoke and mirrors
though.
His solar panel will generate just a few watts at best, compared
to many kilowatts from his petrol engine, so he's not going to
see any benefit at all, and will lose much of that in resistive
losses and the hugely inefficient conversion of hydrogen and
oxygen to power via the internal combustion engine. Good
conversation piece though... ;)

As well as generating Hydrogen and oxygen you are right it
generated a lot of interest from the car guys at the show.
Google must have had a lot of curious folk on it Sunday night,
including me. I imagine quite a few big glass jars have been
stowed away too.
