have a rita ignition fitted to my 750 strada with 2 12v coils.

It was lovely sunny day today and the V65 started without a
problem. Mr Optimist set off for the MOT station on my first
ride on the bike. It ran Ok as long as the revs were kept below
3000. above this and the nearside cylinder cut out and coughed
and spluttered. Drop the revs back and all OK. Anyhow it passed
and got me back ok. I have ordered a couple of 6 volt coils
which have to be wired in series. Hopefully that will cure it
and I can enjoy using it.

Following the V65 problems I have changed the coils to 2 new 6
volt and did a bit of rewiring. The bike fired up without a
misfire and ran on both cylinders. I am now awaiting some new ht
lead and connectors so that I can make what is hopefully a final
repair. Thanks for the info in your earlier replies as that
restored my faith in the rita system and the need for 6 volt
coils.

PS the original coils were both Motoplat, bobina is what is
written underneath the coil. ooops!

Well, coils used to be called bobbins... ;)
