In Game Rules

Most of the rules are fairly simple and easy to follow. If you
don't like them, you don't have to be here. If you don't follow
them, you don't have to be here.
1. [glow=red,2,300]Show respect to all players and staff online
and offine (no talking behind peoples backs, no
racial/homophobic slurs, etc).[/glow]
2. Absolutely [glow=red,2,300]NO GRIEFING![/glow] This includes
digging random ugly holes all over the place just because you
wanted some dirt. This does not include digging a two block wide
hole in the ground so you can get to the underworld to
explore/mine.
3. No begging or harassing staff and/or other players for
[glow=red,2,300]any reason[/glow]. I understand that sometimes
requests get missed or skipped if chat is moving quickly. Just
wait a little while and then send your request again, or use our
/msg or /whisper feature.
4. No spamming.
5. No excessive use of caps lock and/or shift.
6. Do not ask for a different rank or text color,
[glow=red,2,300]because you will not get it[/glow]. You may ask
how to obtain a rank, in which case you will be directed to the
Staff Applications board. Do not ask about any applications for
ranks. Only approved applicants are notified for staff
positions. Read the Rank Information posting in the Staff
Applications board.
7. [glow=red,2,300]Hacking is no longer permitted, in any
form[/glow]. The only exception to this rule is bringing in
hacked items. Anyone found to be using any hacked clients or
mods, such as Infinest's Client, will be asked to stop. If you
continue, you will be banned permanently. Inventory editor is

8. If a player wishes to become a staff member they
[glow=red,2,300]cannot actively own a server due to conflict of
interest[/glow]. If a staff member wishes to create a server,
they must step down from their staff responsibilities. If a
server is owned by another staff member and is public (not
password protected) or there is talk of another server by staff
or players, it is grounds for both demotion and banishment. The
reason for this is that the Terraria Community is already slowly
dying, and it's not an easy task to keep a full player base.
When everyone starts making their own servers and recruits our
staff members or players, our community dwindles.
9. NTS is not a free item server and is not listed as such. Free
item servers usually state that they have free items. However,
there are occasions where giving out a FEW items is okay. If you
give one item to one person, that's fine. The rule comes into
play when someone comes on and starts handing out a ton of stuff
or dropping loot everywhere.
Failure to adhere to these rules will result in punishment
fitting to the crime, up to and if necessary, including a
permanent IP ban.
It's easy to follow the rules and still have fun, so most
importantly, enjoy your time here! :)
