Darkjustis's Wonderful Application For Custom Rank, And More!
DIR By: Faintprince

---------------------------------------------------------
Hello guys! I may as well start off as who i am and what i came
to be. My name is Darkjustis, Otherwise known as Faintprince!
I'm a very professional Terrarian player. I mostly played on
xbox till i got it on pc.
I usually try and be as friendly as i can be, but most people
don't realize the evil part of me. I want to apply for a custom
rank in Nalah's server because i want people to know who the
real prince is. I want my rank to be [Dark]Darkjustis or
[Faint]Darkjustis.
I want people to know me just by that rank. Everyone deserves
the chance to express how unique they want to be. Out of the 5
servers i play on, Its the first time ive ever said this but,
Nalah's server is my favorite server and i want to take my time
to dedicate my time to expand this community of Terrarians and
help Nalah's server become 1st!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think that custom ranks are
able to be applied for, or obtainable for that matter.

For once I will agree with Derpy. Custom ranks can not be
applied or and aren't able to be earned. A custom rank is
something Nalah will do on her own, and it's a rare thing. Only
certain staff members, mostly Admin and higher have this. But
thank you for you support.

Sorry Dark! It's Cassandra the mentor who told ya.
Btw, I forgot to mention usually SA only get those.
And plus, you just joined. I wouldn't get your hopes up for a
rank.
I mean, I came a long way to get the lowest staff rank. I never
got my hopes up though, I thought I'd never get it.
But I guess the application was worth a shot for ya though!

I highly doubt any staff member told you that you could apply
for a custom rank. But Thanks for playing!

Hello there, welcome to NTS.
As it was stated above, custom ranks are not really an appliable
thing. You usually follow this path:
1. Be active and on the server for more than a week. Prove
helpful (but not annoying, no one like guys who say "anyone
needs help?" sixty times a minute) to the server and try to fit
in the community.
2. Once you think you are worthy, apply for a staff rank. Make
sure you follow the application guidelines and answer the
questions required (please pay extra attention to the dog-brains
question, it is the most importantest obviously). It usually
goes like this -> the higher rank, the lower chance you will get
it. Also, you need to prove trustworthy and mature to be
considered for a staff position. Note that maturity has nothing
to do with age. There are all kinds of age groups amongst the
staff. Youngest staff is 9 or 10 if I recall, for example. Best
idea is to apply for Mentor first.
After writing an application, make sure the application is
readable, devoid of grammer mistakes (at least typos), not too
short, answers what you are asked, does not contain unneeded
information or overuse of emoticons (one or two may be fine, ten
not) and that it really shows why do you think you are fit for
that staff position.
3. Now there are two possibilites:
a) you get accepted and become a staff -> see point 4
b) you don't get accepted -> worry not, you are not completely
doomed. Wait a while, and go back to point 1. Note that the more
applications you post in quick successions, the lower the chance
you get accepted for any of them at the given moment.
4. Now you are staff, and you should make to fullfil these
things:
4.1. Get along with other staff
4.2. Get along with players
4.3. Make sure you are not overly abusive, rude (does not apply
to Rodimus :D), demanding or unwilling to help. Also, remember
that staff is here to be like paternal figures of NTS. Staff is
supposed to help players, and players are supposed to be glad
for their help. If any player says "do this" demandingly, do it,
but kindly tell them that this server is based on kindness and
equality and that better results when working with staff is by
saying "please" rather than demanding something.
4.4. Don't help just players, staff also needs to be helped
sometimes.
4.5. Try to judge situations objectively and with as small use
of harsher means of solving situations (kicks, freezing, bans)
as possible. Remember that the greatest "weapon" of staff is
their maturity. Ability to help and solve situations rationally,
not making an armageddon of every small grief.
4.6. When dealing with vicious hackers, ask them first kindly to
disable said vicious hacks and treat the situation as peacefully
as possible. Kick and ban only when there is no other way (for
example hacker not speaking English, or refusing to disable the
hacks or actively doing damage)
4.7 Have a reason for every staff-related action you take. If I
ask you ingame "why did you ban that guy?" you need to answer me
clearly and truthfully.
4.8 Don't abuse your powers. I know that slapping the shit out
of players may be fun, but it is not a nice thing to do from
their and others' perspective.
4.9 Being a staff doesn't mean you can't ~play~ as well. You are
free to build, craft, mine, fight and pvp, but put staff things
before those though.
4.10 Know how to use your commands. Commands can be very useful
and very helpful. A great thing to do is explore your commands
with:
/help
or
/help [numberofpage]
Some commands also have their own help description if you do
/help nameofthecommand. Note that there shouldn't be a / in
nameofthecommand.
4.11 Be wary when banning players, try to avoid permabanning as
much as possible and report every ban and it's reason to the
designated thread.
4.12 Try to chat without grammar mistakes or overuse of caps. No
one likes too many caps. No one.
4.13 Value your rank. Don't complain about it for you should be
greatful you got it. It is a gift, but responsibility comes with
this gift. Make sure you are responsible enough.
4.14 Don't laugh at players or other staff because you have
higher rank than them. It's not nice.
5. After some time, you might get promoted to a higher rank. It
depends on your helpfulness, maturity and activity. Don't expect
promotion to come soon. It might take weeks, it might takes
months. It might take just days though, however.
6. If you have been a staff for a considerably long time, you
can try to apply for the higher rank. Note that there should be
a great difference between player applying for staff and staff
applying for higher rank. That application should be much better
than your application for the first staff rank you may have
gotten.
7. Be great and try to be an extra fine staff :)
regards,
magnusi

Your message is utterly pointless, frankly. Just ups your post
