Rank Is Wrong On This Site

[color=aqua] Hello people of earth :P
[color=white] So I was looking at random posts on the forum and
I noticed on a lot of them that the rank under the name is
wrong, like me, I have the recruit rank but on the website it
says [Newb]. Is this a bug or just the staff being lazy? (No
offence to any staff)

Your "rank" on here does not equate to your rank in the server.
If you've ever used a forum before, you should know that a
forum's ranking system is based on the number of posts you've
made.

Your server rank only affects your forum rank if you're
moderator or a higher on the server. Then you will have the
title of 'Sentinel', rank 'NTS staff' and have 5 stars by
default.

Honestly...I really don't see why people care so much for
ranks...Like wtf is the point...My honest and TRUE opinion is
the same as it has always been. "Fuck ranks" All these silly
ranks...In my mind there should the staff and members...That's
it. All these VIP, ARTISAN, DONOR, VETERAN...etc etc. It's
silly. Who cares. And OMG OMG OMG OMG! My forums rank doesn't
match my server rank?! THE WORLD IS DOOMED!

^ This made me laugh so hard. This is honestly true though. I
think the extra ranks are just to show authority because if all
the Vets, Artisans, VIP etc. had the noob rank I doubt any other
new to the server players would respect them as much as they do
if they have those ranks.

Not so much authority as seniority, as far as the
player/time-based ranks are concerned. NTS player tip: I'm often
more wary of "veteran" and staff-ranked players on the server.

I really don't get it... In all the time I've played this game
online, I come across at least 5 people daily who ask pretty
much the same thing. "How do I get a rank?" Or some form of this
question. I mean aside from a staff rank, what do you really get
from it? A few commands? A "cool color"? I mean the ranks are
silly by all rights. You remove all ranks and only keep 3,
Owner-Staff-Player. Things turn out to be a lot more simple
instead of always having to example the way to get ranks.
For Example, you join a server... "Earn" yourself a "cool rank"
get your "extra" commands.. The server shuts down and never
comes back... What did you gain? What do you get? What do have
to show for that "cool rank"? I mean really.. I thought the
point of this game, let alone any other online multiplayer game
was to play and have fun with friends and meet new people, not
to get all greedy and retarded with ranks.
