Tech Question

So, I am getting this
HTML http://www.bestbuy.com/site/hp-envy-17-3-touch-screen-laptop-intel-core-i7-16gb-memory-1tb-hard-drive-linear-carbon-natural-silver/4221700.p?id=1219708600772&skuId=4221700<br
/>laptop.
What FPS might I expect on Terraria from this laptop, and how do
you guys think it would run other games like Minecraft, Skyrim,
Fallout, etc?
Thanks!

intel i7s are said to be very good. you should be able to run
all of those games easily. not to mention it has a lot of ram,
and the graphics card is very good

yes, its very capable.
NVDIA GeForce 940M
16GM RAM
i7-5500U
you will have pretty good performance overall depending how far
you want to push the graphics on each game.
If you can find a 15.6" screen with the same specs above, go for
it. It would be a lot cheaper. and going any bigger is pointless
imo. anything past 17.3" might as wel buy a pc or monitor to
hook up to your laptop.
8GB is the least you'll ever need, and you can always add more
RAM if the laptop allows it.

it really depends, on what graphics settings you are going to be
using for games, the gpu in that laptop should be able to push
60+ frames on most modern AAA titles in the mid to high gfx
settings at 1920x1080.

Thanks for the info! I thought it was pretty good, but I'm not a
tech person, so my brother looked it over and said it was good,
but I felt I needed more opinions :3

Win 10 is not so bad, provided you use the Custom option in
setting it up and disable all sending of data to microsoft. Then
it is a beatiful system. Also, disable Cortana when you don't
need it, it can record your keystrokes to the search bar. Also
if you are not American, Cortana won't be available at all

So everyone is aware, once I get this laptop, I'll start playing
in earnest; Like, REALLY play, for hours at a time. My current
PC is crap and lags.

The new laptop you are getting absolutely annihilates your
current one in every single regard.
