I am so done with all of Rod's garbage. As I am writing this, He
has permamuted me. He is mean to other players, unhelpful, and
is constantly abusing his privileges as an Admin. Ever since I
have joined the almighty booty, he has been a bully towards me
and to other players and I am sick of it. ???

I agree. I wrote my own complaint about 1-2 weeks ago. We
settled that I would be kind to Rodimus, but he did not agree to
be nice to ME.

Must be a big boost of confidence for a 27-year old to bully
kids. I myself am tolerant of his behaviour but bullying kids is
in my opinion going too far.
Someone also complained to me about being permamuted by him for
standing up to a person being bullied. In a way thats robbing a
person of their freedom of speech and punishing them for doing
whats right.
Rodimus might be doing his job but is that comparable to people
feeling unwelcome and afraid on this server? I've also received
comments of people openly admitting their hate towards Rodimus.

I know that ive taken Rodimus's side in an argument before, but
now...im not so sure, 1st off, earlier today (14th sep) Rodimus
got into an argument with DerpyUnicornz for seemingly no cause
what so ever, she wanted him to fill a pond at one of her
builds, so then he started giving Derpy an extremely hard time
about a complaint she filed againt him earlier on, and then kept
going on to harass Derpy for little to no reason.
2nd off, rodimus has a tendency to permamute people and then go
offline, that kindof a dick move considering if there are no
mods admins etc on the server, that person is doomed to not be
able to verbally interact with people until a mod+ comes on.

Oh, he's 27? I've always attributed it to some sort of
unresolved teenage angsty phase, as most players are really
young. This makes the entire situation way more amusing.
I've been in the server for a negligible amount of time now -
two weeks, give or take, and it has been enough to draw a rough
picture of the server's social dynamics. Bear in mind that I'm
not coming here in defense of a friend or swayed by punishment
previously dealt by me; hell, I barely know you guys, and the
only direct interaction I've had with Rodimus was him remarking
how many alts I have. So as a reasonably neutral party, I'd like
to raise the question.
From a server's point of view, is it really worth to keep him as
an admin?
The entire time I've been playing, I've been under the weird
impression that other, more pedestrian members of the staff or
captive player base, have to simply tiptoe around him. I have
absolutely no idea why a server staff would not only be so
profilic, but downright proud, to be a constant pain to others
not only in casual conversation but when his aid is needed. In
the ridiculously small time frame I've spent here, I've seen no
less than two or three separate complaint posts. Two weeks. Made
not by some unknown Joe, but by active, agreeable server players
who, ironically, have been the sole reason I've continued to
frequent the server after being put off by his attitude on the
first days.
"You don't know what my real job is! I am the most active
cleaner/protector/builder."
I really don't. Maybe he is really important. Maybe he's the
very pillar that keeps the server standing from a technical
standpoint. I won't ask to be enlightened as to what exactly are
the contributions that make it worth it to have 80% of the other
users feeling berated and unwanted, but surely someone as active
and less prone to tantrums could be taught to do it just as
well. I find it unlikely that whatever technical contributions
he gives offsets the damage he causes to the atmosphere and
community.

They're not. They're not serious, ever. No accusation made in
this forum can be "serious", because as entertaining a game as
Terraria can be, it's still 2D Minecraft with colorful weapons
used to shoot flying octopuses. It's a single server in a single
game - a children's game, even if us adults can also find
enjoyement in it. That fact alone makes all the inflamed,
self-important discourse assumed in-game and against complaints
all the more ridiculous. There is no need to have a "jackass"
admin. There's no place and need for severity, to make children
and teenagers feel bad for their immaturity, lack of
understanding, or opposition. It simply has no point. There is
the need for someone who is constantly online, knows how the
engine works, and can be firm when needed without being personal
about it. Being gratuitously mean to people half your age in
such a contained environment is way more serious an issue - and
trying to pass it off as trolling changes precisely ****all. No
one's in on the joke.
Also, it's ridiculous to ask for "proof" of single ocurrences
of a behaviour that's by now so well known. No one should be
forced to delicately print every instance of abuse in order to
file a complaint that, as far as it goes, probably will not
result in anything except a light scolding and maybe the undoing
of whatever he has done this time, followed by the prospect of
being a target from then on. The whole business today happened
exclusively because of that - reluctance to fulfill his
function, justified by past blunders of the other party. In the
case at hand, has Cosmic evaded muting? Of course. Because the
reasoning for it was absolutely ridiculous, because there's no
rule against defending a friend or remarking on rudeness.
I've written this post knowing full well that's what will happen
to me, and that frequenting the server afterwards will become a
hassle to such a point as to not being worth it anymore.
Probably having to hear that nothing of value was lost, that
it's all a facade and I - stupid as I am, naturally - simply
don't get his genius brand of "trolling" as a grown adult. Am I
an "emo faggot", as he always puts so nicely? Why yes, surely
the problem lies in my sensibilities. But I wonder what'll
happen if sensitive after sensitive player decides it's just not
worth the bother.

I'm so tired of this, there's always a reason for Rod to get
mad/mute other players.As i remember before i left the server,
Derpy joined and says something like "Be polite, Rod" or "Be
nice, Rod". That does not help and will only makes things
worse..Rod doesn't like being bossed around by other people and
he tried his best to be nice so please understand.

Vokie.
I understand that he doesn't like to be bossed around but we
have had his bullying and tyranny for too long.
Nalah even said that this server was BUILT on KINDNESS. All im
saying is that we are sick of his abuse of privilege and
his constant bullying towards other players.

Look,
I'm sorry that you guys are feeling abused. As most of you know,
I've been on vacation so I haven't had much of a chance to
address things the way that I want to.
I'll be going home on the 25th and I will deal with everything
when I get back..
I have spoken to Rodimus and hopefully we will see a change in
the way certain people behave.
However, I will be the first person to say that Rodimus is a
very good friend to me and has always been there even when other
people turned their back on me.
A lot of other staff often attempt to undermine him on many
occasions which only fuels his anger, and I can't really blame
him.
If I muted someone for something that I felt was justified and
someone else undid it, I would be pissed.
He also has a very sarcastic sense of humor, as do I. A lot of
the time he doesn't actually mean the things he says
maliciously.
For example, if Rodimus enters the server and exclaims "What up
shitheads!" or something like that, he is not being abusive
(lol) he is just playing around. Try not to take offense to
these types of things.
If you are muted for something that you feel is unjust, feel
free to message me on the forum or on Steam and I will handle
it.
Until then, let's all try to get along?
