For future, current applicants, current staff, and people who
feel **** is unfair. Learn something from this. This does not
clearly define your responsibility as staff. Take this as a
guideline.
Here's a quick story.
Once upon a time. A player joined the server, no idea how long
this player was on for, neither know him that well. I noticed
this player was a superadmin after being gone for 2 months. This
player knew the commands, knew how to use it, but wouldn't
protect his own builds. Further, this player went on the server
and executed /off, which shuts down the server, TWICE. After a
few months, he returned as an admin, all was forgiven.
QUIT having an ATTITUDE when you been demoted, or your
application is not being accepted, or feel Nalah is being unfair
or harsh, when she comes on and tries to educate you guys. She's
one of the most nicest and most forgiving person I've met, and
if you can't see that, READ the story in the above paragraph
again. Myself and another superadmin made sure the player
described above was demoted further. If you want to know what
unfair or harsh is, then reply to this topic with a p.s
statement saying your curious. I am more than happy to share.
Being staff is being more than whats already outlined. There is
so much more you can do as non-staff and staff if you think. If
all you do is help new players register, then you might as well
ask to return to a normal rank.
Ask yourself these questions:
How many people can say they took a new player and gave them a
tour around the server?
Mini-games others have created?
Do you grief sweep?
Report unprotected buildings?
And so much more.
Answer this question in the steam group chat: Can any rank do
any of the above?
Your attitude from being disappointment to anger, feeling like
your not getting anywhere, will affect your promotion anywhere
you go. In real life too.
This is not a server where staff positions handed out. You earn
it, and you continue to prove you earn it. If you don't like,
find another server that hands them out.
All those that have the 'I want to help' 'I want to be part of
the community' attitude, find a volunteer program in real life.
I'm not saying this to keep you guys away, you can really
benefit in the long run for volunteering for a bunch of places.
And at such a young age, you could have pages of things you done
in your resume to make yourself standout from other applicants
trying to get the same job you want.

I would actually like to know what kind of harsh do you see fit.
I only have the basic knowledge of the story of what that person
did and what steps you guys took to forgive and forget . I'm not
saying everyone's harsh but im just really curious what crosses
the line from a joke to being harsh, "learn new things everyday"
is my favourite motto.
P.S I'm genuinely curious.

I think that people need to realize they can help with out a
rank and that they will be listened to. We choose Mentors for
their ability to help, they can't just say 'I'll help when I get
the rank'.
I know what it feels like to make a mistake, be de-ranked and
have countless applications denied, but through all of this, I
have learned that Nalah is in fact one of the most forgiving
people I have ever talked to. And no matter what my rank is
here, I can still help. You can't just expect to get a rank
cause you applied for it, and you will only get a rank when the
higher levels of staff feel you're ready
I've had an Administrator Application pending for like, a month
now but oh well its not about the ranks, I can still report
buildings even though I can't protect them and do lots of other
Adminy stuff with my limited abilities. I'm curious to hear what
harsh is to you, Bert. The harshest thing I have experienced was
when TWO people copied a whole paragraph from one of my
applications on another server, and I think they got banned >.<
but I know Nalah or any SA would be that hard.
I don't know what happened today with the whole demotion of
somebody, and I don't want to be a nuisance and ask for details.
I know you have told me about doing voluntary stuff in real
life, and I do. I do voluntary first aid, civil defense and
survival type stuff, but my parents don't let me do much. If
there was an animal shelter near me I would definitely volunteer
there haha

I think Nalah is the best server owner. She forgives people bu
still takes care of important things. She also has a very
likable personality.
When I was Mentor I helped people like what I did before untill
it got to the point that 4 new players would join and keep
asking for things. Even now I still give players help.

She certainly is quite the server owner and friend. Otherwise,
I would not be here, certainly not for the several years that I
have stuck around.
