       Military Acronym , Alphabet and Slangs

       Army National Guard answers the call, at home or abroad. The
       incredible versatility of the Army National Guard enables its
       troops to respond to domestic emergencies, combat missions,
       counterdrug efforts, reconstruction missions and more - all with
       equal speed, strength and efficiency
       MILITARY ALPHABET
       A: Alpha
       B: Bravo
       C: Charlie
       D: Delta
       E: Echo
       F: Foxtrot
       G: Golf
       H: Hotel
       I: India
       J: Juliet
       K: Kilo
       L: Lima
       M: Mike
       N: November
       O: Oscar
       P: Papa
       Q: Quebec
       R: Romeo
       S: Sierra
       T: Tango
       U: Uniform
       V: Victor
       W: Whiskey

       Usage - It is mostly being used throught Radio for coordinates,
       responses and such.
       For the easiest example -
       Responding on radio that you are "On Move". So, you just need to
       take the first letter from borth words. So for now it is "O" and
       "M". Now we use the alphabet to "code" it - Oscar Mike.
       It can be used to code some acronyms.
       For example - TKS (ThanKS) - We simply use - Tango Kilo Sierra.
       LZ (Landing Zone) - Lima Zulu
       It is not needed at all to use it, you just should be ready to
       know them a little when someone use them IG.

       360- Used to order to put protection all around.
       AHA -Ammunition Holding Area , where ammo is stored and issued.
       AO -Area of Operation.
       ATL- Attempt to Locate.
       CASEVAC- CASualty EVACuation , emergency evacuation of injured
       personnel from combat zone by any modes of transport available.
       COA - Clear On Arrival.
       COB - Close Of Business, the end of working hours.
       CQB or CQC - Close Quarters Battle/Combat, combat within a
       confined space, such as urban warfare.
       EVAC - Evacuation.
       ETR - Estimated Time of Return.
       HUMRAT - Humanitarian Rations.
       IED - Improvised Explosive Device.
       K or klicks - Kilometer.
       LSA - Lubricant, Semifluid, Automatic weapons, semi-liquid
       grease for lubrication of automatic weapons.
       LZ - Landing Zone.
       MEDEVAC - MEDical EVACuation.
       mike - Minute.
       mike-mike - Millimeter.
       MSR - Main Supply Route, major logistic route.
       NBC - Nuclear, Biological, Chemical.
       SOP - Standard Operating Procedure.
       SITREP - Situation Report.
       SRB - Service Record Book, an administrative record of an
       enlisted Marine's personal information, promotions, postings,
       deployments, punishments, and emergency data.
       VC - Visual Contact.
       TKS - Thanks.
       Military Slang
       (Optional of course)
       Deuce Gear – Standard issue web gear, combat gear, or field
       equipment
       Beans, bullets and bandages – Expression used to refer to those
       things a logistician must provide his or her unit: rations,
       ammunition, and medical care.
       Boot – Recruit, or derisive term for a soldier just out of
       training.
       Brain bucket – Helmet.
       The bricks– Barracks.
       Corpsman / Doc - Medic.
       Bulkhead – Wall.
       Bum scoop – Bad information.
       Cammies – Camouflage utility uniform.
       Carry on – Order to continue after being interrupted.
       Chalk – Squad of servicemembers in an aircraft that will or have
       been deployed to the ground (rappelling or parachuting).
       Civvies – Civilian clothing.
       Clusterfuck – Chaotic and messy situation; multiple mistakes or
       problems happening in rapid succession.
       Cover – Headgear; protection from enemy fire.
       Downrange or down-range – Dangerous area, from the portion of a
       shooting range that receives impacts; also the execution of a
       plan.
       Eight ball – A soldier who lacks an aggressive spirit.
       Fart sack – Sleeping bag.
       Flak jacket – Antiquated term for ballistic vest or body armor.
       Gagglefuck – Group of soldiers grouped too closely or in an
       unorganized fashion; from gaggle, the term for a flock of
       grounded geese.
       Goat rope or goat rodeo or goat screw – Chaotic and messy
       situation.
       Gook – Anything foreign or strange.
       Gouge – Information or news.
       Good to go – Expression denoting that difficulties will be
       overcome; ready; well done or satisfactory.
       Hack – Arrest.
       Helo – Helicopter.
       In country – Phrase referring to being within a war zone.
       Moonbeam – Flashlight.
       No impact, no idea - Used as an "I don't know" response.
       Rotate – Return home at the end of a deployment.
       Shit-brick – Useless or ignorant person.
       Side arms – Weapon (usually a pistol) carried by a sentry under
       arms.
       Snot locker – Nose.
       Suck – Mouth.
       Tip of the spear – Term for a unit or subunit that enters enemy
       territory first.
       Trunk monkey – A passenger in the back of an armored vehicle,
       not part of the crew.
       War paint – Camouflage face paint.
