       PvP'ing other Alliance Members
By: winnie Date: June 7, 2013, 6:54 pm
       ---------------------------------------------------------
I don't think any member in this alliance should ever start a
harmful attack against another member. The decision is up to
       each member...
HOWEVER: Aid and Barter attacks actually HELP the target (and
maybe Spy, this is not clear yet).
SO, if you're trying to get your PvP stats up to get that
Obsidian dagger, hit your fellow alliance members with Aid and
       Barter all you want.

The bonus goal in volume 1, chapter 10 (I think) is an obsidian
       dagger. It's very cool loot.

Since we have a few conflicts at our hands I felt like
elaborating on what I think how PvP works and how we as an
alliance can work together. At first a short overview what each
fo the 9 actions supposedly does:
Fight - Take silver from opponent, gain silver
Harass - Make opponent lose silver, gain nothing
Aid - Gives target a random +x% buff to a specific skill (e.g.
       Harass attacks, Spy defense, etc.)
Barter - Target gains silver, you gain an equal amount
(Important: Due to a recent bug, the recipient must have more
silver than their protected value - base is 800 - or they don't
       actually get the coins)
Swindle - Make opponent lose silver, gain silver
Bribe - Eliminates a sabotage debuff (fault) from the target
Spy - For the next three days, subsequent PvP attacks will show
the exact defense value of your opponent instead of just the
       bar.
Sabotage - Gives target a random -x% debuff to a specific skill
       (opposite of aid)
Steal - Make opponent lose silver, gain silver
Buffs and debuffs last for about 3 hours so timing is important.
If you aid to bolster an ally's defenses against an incoming
attack, you need to do so immediately. Also you aren't
guaranteed to do something helpful like your friend could gain a
barter attack bonus that is no good to defend against impeding
fight and harass attacks. So aiding probably only makes a
difference in a coordinated effort of many. Also bribes to
counter sabotage would best be sent before the enemy attack even
resolves or else the fault will be gone by itself before you
       could do any good.
If one enemy noble launches multiple attacks, sabotaging them
could theoretically lower their chance of success but timing
would be difficult and like aid you would have to hit a lucky 1
in 18 or send many swords to make a difference.
Repairing damage seems more useful. Friends that have taken
losses from attacks that deplete coin, can regain their strength
faster if they are targeted by scores of barters (you may think
of it as donating to victims of earthquakes etc.). While you
will also gain silver bartering, it's likely less than you could
acquire questing or robbing so it's still an investment to help
       your friends and allies.
Note that Barter and Aid always give their respective benefits
no matter how the die comes up. So you can effectively help out
alliance members who are way above your level.
As another matter of importance, calling for help in the
alliance makes your attacker an eligible target for everyone in
the alliance. That is our high level heavy hitters can retaliate
against opponents that try to prey upon our less powerful
members. But this is only possible if you call for help as
otherwise only friends can be targeted regardless of power
       levels.
Be aware that this works the other way round, too. If you attack
active members of another alliance, their elders can retaliate
       against you as well.
As a relatively low level player your best bet would be aid when
you happen to be present and have a sword left and barter to
help rebuild since those incur no risk and are fairly
independent of your stats. Don't try to mess with powerful
attackers since they not only have better rate of success when
striking back but also likely have plenty more swords which
multiplies the damage they can do.

On a side note, when you are aware of attacks that deplete your
silver, you should be able to save yourself from losses by
spending any silver in excess of 800 coins. Attacks never leave
you with less than 800 stags. If this also affects your
opponent's gains for steal, fight and swindle is unsure but I'd
assume that their earnings will be generated from thin air.
Some talents can increase that amount, the current value is
available for reference at Character -> Stats -> Player to
       Player.

I would like to get the "Bow so Low achievement" that requires
me to swindle 200 friends ot allies.
To get the achievement I need some help, as I wouldn't like
anyone holding it against me, getting mad or sad, suffering
       deeply inside.
So I need consent of alliance members who don't mind getting
       swindled by Lannisters.
If you are such person please send me an ig message "I want to
be cheated by you dirty Lannister beetard"

Harald and anyone else who looks for an easy target to farm or
just try out some PvP in general:
I am putting up my kongregate character as a target for anyone.
I restarted her to have stats of 1/1/1 so you should have an
easy time doing whatever you want to do to her. You have my
consent to launch harmful attacks to your heart's desire. I'll
try to accept friend requests on a regular basis. This is her
       link:
  HTML http://gota-www.disruptorbeam.com/play/friend_request/1105280
  HTML http://gota-www.disruptorbeam.com/play/friend_request/1105280
If the link isn't working for you for one reason or another, you
can also find her in the Alliance member list, open her profile
and send a friend request from there. The name is
GeneralCardican, character name Jessica Snow and as of now she's
on page 26 or so of the member list but that will vary
