AvA is coming - Part 3
By: Rohanne Storme Date: December 18, 2013, 4:15 am
---------------------------------------------------------
I know you missed the "poll of the day" so here we are ;)
During next AvA we will need to plan how to garrison and attack
and we could find out to have some over- or under-represented
kind of Sworn Swords. For this reason I kindly ask you to tell
us how many SS you have and, please, also take the time to
briefly describe their kind.

I have 14 Sworn Swords at the moment, all Peerless except the
starting one.
Intrigue: 2 Steal (lvl 23 & 19); 1 Spy (lvl 21); 2 Sabotage (lvl
21 & 7)
Trade: 1 Barter (lvl 19); 1 Bribe (lvl 22); 3 Swindle (lvl 21,
18 & 11)
Battle: 2 Harass (lvl 20 & 18); 1 Fight (lvl 21); 1 Aid (lvl 14)
The next one will probably be a Fighter, since this should be
one of our most common attacks during AvA.

I have 17 SSs with 6 of the peerless. Breaking all 17 down
according to level and ability gets a bit daunting, but since
I'm looking at a reincarnation early in the phase, those
peerless ones are divided:
1 Vanguard (Fight at level 17)
2 Skirmishers at levels 16 and 11
1 charlatan rank 17
1 agent rank 17
1 Merchant rank 14
All of them get decked out with the best stuff and their main
jobs are the challenges and the quests in the early part of the
game after reincarnating, which is why they don't level very
quickly.

I currently have 24 Sworn Swords but only 3 of them are peerless
( Vanguard lvl 19, Merchant lvl 19, Thief lvl 19) the rest are
between 17 and 22 ( 3 Vanguards, 2 Skrimishers, 2 Protectors, 2
Agents, 2 Saboteurs, 2 Thiefs, 4 Merchants, 2 Charlatans, 2
Corruptors) but when the AvA war starts they all become thiefs
lol. I was thinking that I should buy SS just to garrison them
as I don't want to lose any of my other SS, but I don't know if
they would be useful if they're just lvl 1.

Ummm...34. But at least 8 of those were bought since the end of
the last phase and I've been training most of them up as
garrison specialties. Training that many becomes a daunting
effort! Not to mention trying to equip them all. My forges
have been running hot and continuous, crafting pikes, calvary,
shields and other defensive units and gear. I'm currently
level 122 in my first incarnation.
I have 8 peerless or legendary swords who will not be defending
but will be attacking within their specialty as well as running
other challenges.
I have 5 rare SS who will also be attacking plus running for raw
materials.
Garrisons DO die all the time. When a SS dies, you can bury
them or bring them back. Bringing them back requires that you
spend whatever silver you bought them for. So restoring your
peerless will set you back 24,000 stags. I can do a LOT of
upgrades for that much silver! And if I can get my common troops
up to 15 or so, then it is up to the roll of the dice. And
anyone who has mass adventured and lost 5 in a row despite 2:1
odds knows what I'm talking about!
That is still 21 common and uncommon swords for active AvA. Not
all of them are equipped for defense but breaking them down as
likely defenders:
5 Vanguard (fight)
4 Skirmisher (Harass)
3 Swindlers
2 Merchants
1 Corrupter (bribe)
3 Thieves
2 Spies
1 Saboteur
Obviously, my merchants won't be defending, but will be
bartering. And several were not necessarily trained that well,
with the average rank being about 12. The entire concept of
specially trained and armed garrisons is not well-tested, so I'm
anxious to see how they do. I've been just throwing whoever is
the cheapest one I can afford to lose in there!

no time to fully list them, but think I am at 20, all commons so
disposable
most are harass/steal/trade
will stock up on more as available so replacements will be handy

34 SS
19 Peerless for attack and mats farming - 2 of each specialty +1
extra Sabotage guy that has stats in all base groups for PtP
Defense.
15 non-permanent to be used for garrisons and attacks as needed.
7 of the lower ones are pure scrappers, many of the rest are
tanks, with a mix of main points plus specialty.
3x lvl 21
2x lvl 20
7x lvl 19
13x lvl 18
4x lvl 17
3x lvl 16
1x lvl 15
1x lvl 2 =)
I will likely be adding a few more low level barter children to
the pile.
I'm addicted to minions, what can I say?

maybe I am missing somenthing ???
The separate informations about SS (btw without equipment) and
character level are not very useful for planning, but the
combined stats :-\
In my case I have 50 SS but only 40 Command points.
with all SS the combine stats are over 1000 (40% 1000-1200, and
60% over 1200)
harass
spy
fight
barter
aid
sabotage
bribe
steal
