Let's resume discussion on this, shall we?
I think that, given the nature of our elections, such an event
is highly unlikely to happen. Besides, we haven't let this
happen once (except for my first term as Chairman, I think I
held another position).
Just playing devil's advocate.

Hmm. I guess I just see situations where this wouldn't be
preferred. I definitely see the disadvantage to someone having,
say, Chairman and Vice Chairman simultaneously (they could
destroy the game); but there are instances where it might be
better. If this does happen, it requires all members to really
run for every office... it reduces Secretary to non-election...
it forces members to run for office that they might not want.

I feel that if players are in the game of Supreme Nomic, they
should be fine with a seat in office.

Tim hasn't been in the past. I don't mean to use him as an
example, but he is. Not in a bad way. For a term or two, he
didn't really want responsibilities in the Supreme Nomic. Which
is understandable, and we shouldn't force that on people. I've
thought about it myself.

Well, the problem is, if we allow there to be multiple position
holdings, even if it is just to cover for a secretary position,
then that leaves open the opportunity for chairman AND vice
chairman holding. I think it is better to force a player into a
position than have that tyranny all of the time.

I'm fine with it now. I don't think anybody would abuse that
power, for the sake of the nomic. We may get to the point where
only one person can handle the responsibility for a couple
weeks.
