       legal drinking age in america
By: john elway Date: January 19, 2011, 1:00 pm

The current legal drinking age in the United States is 21, yet
we have GI's that are able to sign contracts at 18 years old and
go to foreign countries and kill a man and defend his country,
but he cant have a beer on the weekend with his buddies until he
is 21. The drinking age I feel is not where it should be. At 18
you are aloud to engage in a legal contract, smoke cigarettes,
and become a legal adult, the drinking age needs to either go
down to 18, or all other amenities you get at 18 need to be
       bumped to 21.

I would say up. Our brains are not fully developed to support
       those decisions.

It makes since to me also, I did not want to take a bias
approach to the matter, I agree to raising all things to 21.

Ideally, I would rather alcohol be outlawed. But I know that
won't happen anytime soon (if within my lifetime) so I want it
is high as possible. And agreed, we're not fully mature at 21.

Capone starting to the world to what we know as organized crime
over the sell of alochol that was direct result from making an
       amendment to "outlaw" alochol.

The government was just like: in a year, no more booze. Just
like that. And with anything that affects society as largely as
alcohol did (especially in the 1920s), there has to be a phasing
in. You can't just pull the rug under people like that.
As I said, it won't happen in my lifetime. But it wouldn't be a
bad idea, and hey, I can dream can't I?

sounds great, I like that approach, and unfortunetly so does the
US Government. The "head in the clouds" works until you fall
       flat on your face.

with the current state of the economy, this country will be
shreaded by hyper-inflation before 2029 rolls around

lol Here's my forecast: Obama. Need I say more? The end is 2012.
The same year that the voting will be. I think he'll destroy the
       world because he loses. hehe
