---------------------------------------------------------
Welcome to the first running of the Arcade Olympics! All
players of Martin's Nomic are eligible for competition and are
automatically considered part of this contest.
I have added three new games for this contest. The games for
this Arcade Olympics are:
[li]Moonlander
HTML http://nomic.createaforum.com/index.php?action=arcade;sa=play;game=25[/li]
[li]Donkey Kong
HTML http://nomic.createaforum.com/index.php?action=arcade;sa=play;game=6[/li]
[li]Snake
HTML http://nomic.createaforum.com/index.php?action=arcade;sa=play;game=24[/li]
The top individual score from each player will be recorded. A
top score will receive 100 points. Any lower score will receive
a fraction of 100 equivilent to the proportion between their
score and the top score. For example:
Player A scores 60000
Player B scores 50000
Player C scores 6000
Player A receives 100 points for first
Player B receives 83 points for second (50000 divided by 60000
is .833)
Player C receives 10 points for third (6000 divided by 60000 is
.100)
Players can play as much as they choose until December 21st,
2010 at 11:59 PM. At this time, all scores will be counted and
the points will be tallied.
Awards
Players will receive a fraction of the available 250 points as
proportional with their score compared to the total points
scored. For example:
Player A scores 200
Player B scores 150
Player C scores 75
(425 total points scored)
Player A receives 105 points for first (200/425 = .42. .42*250 =
105)
Player B receives 88 points for second (150/425 = .35. .35*250 =
88)
Player C receives 45 points for third (75/425 = .18. .18*250 =
45)
Any points not given as a result of rounding will go to the
Contest Director.
Good luck!
