Or... for fanfiction and fanart we could base ourselves on
       stats?
       Like :
Most popular fanart on (art website) this month.
Most popular fic on (fic website) this month.
For fics this would probably just alternate between FF.net and
AO3, but for art there would be Pixiv, Deviantart, etc, and also
       Tumblr.
I don't know how that would be possible, we'd have to like look
at all the new fics/art every month and pick the ones with the
best stats... but sometimes we could also pick an older one.
Though I believe most of us know the old arts/fics... Or um,
take an old thing which doesn't have a lot of stats and (unless
it's horrible) take this opportunity to give it a little boost?
Just an idea I'm throwing out there^^ what do you think?

Hm, that's maybe a bit too complicated.
I mean the fanfiction thing would work just fine. It's not that
there's an immense flood of new ff's each month. But watching
deviantart and pixiv, and tumblr to find fanarts would be way to
complicated... I never wanted to burden us with a horrible huge
task of statitics and so one...
The only purpose is to do something where other people can send
suggestions, to be a bit interactive... to praise people's work
and advertise it a bit... no matter if it's old or new stuff.
We don't need a complicated system to find the fanwork of the
month. We should just keep an eye on it that we don't show
always the same people's stuff... that the fanfiction's aren't
too crappy when we recommend them and when it comes to
fanarts... Art is extremely subjective. That's why I think it
would be fairer to draw the "winner" by lots, to give everybody
       the same chances.
Just for the beginning. I mean when we have more people to work
together with us... people who just want to do polls and analyze
them later, it's fine to let everyone do polls to chose the
       stuff of the month.
I don't want us to drown in work... it should be fun for
everyone. I mean I have a lot of ffs I'd like to recommend, a
lot of favorite fanarts... and other people like other stuff.
We're here to cherish them all without favoriting certain people
(we can do this on our own blogs ;3).
We don't even have to chose 10 out of the suggestions... When
we get 40 suggestions, we draw out of those 40. (But when there
are so many we should maybe recommend 3 out of them... just
like. Our recommended fanarts this month are: This, that and
       this here!
Just my thoughts, but of course I'm always all ears to hear your
ideas. :3 But don't let us get this too complicated.

I have to say, I agree with Ahiku. To do it like that would be
immensely difficult. I'd say we'd just take recommendations from
people following the blog, write it all down in several
categories (fanfiction, fanart, blog, etc.) and
       1. look if something get's recommended more often than the
others (then that would probably be the best of the month)
       2. keep track of who was already on the best to make sure it
doesn't pop up twice in a short amount of time
       3. if there isn't anything that's clearly more popular than the
other's right now, I'd use a random generator on all other
       suggestions we collected until then.
That should be doable with a simple Excel table, don't you
think? Just mark the ones already titled 'Best' with a color and
keep all the others + doing a column for 'What' and one for 'How
       many recommendations'.
Yeah, if it gets really much, we could always draw several,
you're right. And I would totally keep the ones that didn't make
it into the 'Best of the month' yet to give them another chance
^^ This way, we'll have something to recommend even if people
momentarily stop to suggest fanarts or anything.

You're both right^^ I guess I get a little too carried away with
       my organisation/perfectionism issues lol.
I could take care of creating a shared Excel doc on Google
Drive, with different tabs and all so we could keep track of
recommendations. If that's ok with you of course^^

Sure, go ahead :D (A shared document is a very good idea xD
Wouldn't have thought about that ^^")

@Lawl, that's a very good idea. We can do it like that. ^^
[member=1]Yuneyn[/member]: Oh, yes, please! That would be great!
:3 You can put it in another thread then and make it sticky, so
that we always see the important stuff first.
       Thank you!
I'll draw the banner, we will use for this each month soon. ^^
Then we just need some kind of text source... So that we just
need to add the "winners" then each month.

I'm creating something, just figured out how to make the top 3
things with the most recommendations appear in green, so that we
can decide later if we want to have a top 3 or just one
depending on the number of suggestions.
Since I don't have everyone's email, you can send me yours by MP
and then I'll invite you to edit the doc once I finished the
       template page!

Wow, I didn't even know it's possible that Excel does that on
its own xD Apparently I still have a lot to find out about this
