question about law

i am deciding whether or not to prosecut a young black child for
shoplifting. maximum penantly is 10 years and i think i will
sanction that, even though if i think about it the maximum is 5
years for a kid who is the same size and age but white. what is
the best course of action per our excellent constitution?

your honour, it is my submission that he is NOT someone who is
guilty of a crime automatically. you neednt throw the book at
this youngster as he is a civillian proctected by the sharp arm
of the law. did he commit the crime of this i do not know.
however it is my submission that he shall be judged by a jury of
his peers as to the henceforth crime. Regardless he will not be
trampled on by the boot of law, so to speak...

yes you are right. i have emailed the judge to ask for a
mistrial and the teen to be let off because it is not fair. i
think he will be glad to hear i came around on this. sometimes
the money and the big skyscrapers it gets into your head as a
lawyer but then you forget avout the little guy...
