Volume 1
By: Wazza Date: March 15, 2013, 5:36 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
Welcome to the start of a new season! Hopefully this time around
things will be a little more organized and teams will remain
competitive throughout the schedule. This Volume mainly focuses
on the draft. We'll discuss some bargains picks, as well as some
overpriced ones.
Bargain
[li]Thunderstorm @ 8th overall - It's hard to muster any reason
as to why this young promising forward dropped to the 2nd round.
If things go as expected and if Thunderstorm lives up to his
expectations, look out because the Cyclones may have well found
themselves a gem.[/li]
[li]Jaymar @ 18th overall - Not a lot know about him, but our
insiders have shown great confidence in what they see. With a
full roster on the Bombers, it'll be intriguing to see who plays
where and for how long. If Jaymar manages to break into the
starting line up, he could be a good candidate to stash into
your fantasy leagues.[/li]
[li]kentucky @ 14th overall - Now I wouldn't say it's a bargain,
but given the depth with GKs in the draft, it's a smart choice.
Barca-Kes has spent months scouting this macro-abusing
goaltender, and it was only a matter of time before he snagged
her. Could be in the GKOTY discussions later in the season.[/li]
Overpriced
[li]Sona @ 1st overall - Seems like Bubblegum is crushing over
Sona, either that or his dog chewed up his cheat sheet, forcing
him to scramble and make a last minute selection. Either way it
doesn't make sense for this to be the number 1 pick of the
draft. She's been around quite a while and we know she can play,
but to pick her over [insert name] could be a bold move. Hey,
prove me wrong though?[/li]
[li]NDR @ 4th overall - Not much to say about this one, but it's
a bit disappointing. Good young lad and a good teammate on and
off the field, but the Rattlers could have almost had anyone
instead. Might be a reach for a middle of the pack sort of
player.[/li]
[li]Wazza @ 7th overall - Rumours have it that he'll be stepping
down from his natural position and playing some midfield for
this team. It's enticing but maybe blockade would have been a
better option at this position. AIR and Wazza are the best of
buddies so surely they're relying on some chemistry but was a
7th overall on a player trying out a new position worth it?
We'll find out.[/li]
Stay tuned for next week's weekly Volume.

Okay...
LoF, if you make Cruel AGM, I'll show up to all games and
actually be serious, unlike I am in HCD. (wary)

NDR you're a good player, you just need to improve positioning
and working with others. Then you'll be worth more than just one
first.
