I ti think youve both made some valid points. we need to get the
members who are less visible back into the fold. and maybe we
shiuld have a monthly discussion or a "check in" once a mobth on
his site so we know people are still around and throw out one or
more ideas that may have come to them. thoughts?

I personally love this committee. I think we are passionate and
bring great ideas to the table but I do agree that we need to be
taken more seriously.
I think we made great progress with creating more local events
and this has clearly been a big hit with the fans. Whilst clear
progress has been made, it does worry me that the NFL take the
fan base for granted. Although our ideas are being taken on
board, our deepest concerns are not. If we go to the next
meeting and bring up the ticketmaster debacle, I just dont see
how they will move away from them due to the commercial nature.
I disagree with the VIP treatment. Whilst I wouldnt reject it, I
dont want to feel any more than a fan who gets to present ideas.
I dont want us to become some elitest group.
I hope this forum can continue and I honestly believe it can
work. I have missed the last two meetings due to bad health and
terrible timing but I feel I really want to make my opinion
heard and improve things here.
Fingers crossed this is not the end.

Chris, great idea the check in.
What I would also say maybe we should have a thread giving a
time limit asking who is staying or no replies implying the
same. I will contact Nick and find out who has replied.

We are back in the saddle folks. So what shoild we as a group be
truly concentrating on, or donyou thimk we could split it into
maybe 2 or 3 topics between us to focus on.

Excellent news!
I feel the key topics are:
Improving the quality of the product (IS Games) - What we like,
what we don't like, how can we improve.
Regional involvement - As above.
Product key points:
The game experience - attempt to drive home a more "home" game
experience. Ditch the flags, get cheap t-shirts. I see a sea of
blue for the jags game. All neutrals / Jags will join in and
make it seem more home game-ish.
The tailgate - ditch the ticket entrance thing, is it really
required? More merch stalls mean less GIANT queues. The
entertainment was fun though!
The sat fan rally - excellent this year, really enjoyed it. More
of the same please!
Ticketmaster - do i need to say any more?
Regional Involvement:
Fan events - I was at the Edinburgh event and it was class.
Really enjoyable, informative and great Q&A. Made the fans up
here feel wanted.
Fan gathers - it doesn't have to be big, but I would love the
NFL to get together with local teams to arrange events. A summer
bbq, flag football competition or something would all be great.
Fan clubs - I dont really see this taking off. Uptake has been
fairly slow and although it would be nice to have an official
facebook page, I cant see it drawing thousands. Maybe I'm wrong
though?
Thought's?

Things i think we should push is definitely the fan clubs. i
agree with Graham its a bit slow but we've got about 15 people
joined up in west herts. i think july and august are key months
to try and get people to join. a facebook oage is a great idea.
could be a singular page linking all the groups. i am happy to
do it with someone (more than one admin).
Definitey the ticketmaster ticketing is an issue.
I know the meetings have to take place during the day for people
coming a long distance but i would find it easier to attend if
it was 6pm onwards. i know that isnt likely and fair to people
travelling from up north.
I hope to be at the next meeting but this will depend on work
and family (child care issues).
I am looking forward to working with u guys again.

If they were happy enough to cover a night in a hotel for me, I
would meet at night no problem.
What is concerning is that I am booking in meetings for mid July
and am I very concerned that if we get invited down on one of
these days I cant make it. My work is generally very flexible
but I need like a months notice to be able to guarantee that I
can make it. I am not able to attend now on the 9th or 10th of
July and the 8th and 11th (my birthday) wouldn't be ideal
either.
Fingers crossed this gets sorted soon and a date is sent to us.
I need to be booking!

Generally when they say a date its usually that one. I am with
you Graham i am happy to do a meeting early morning evening what
ever if they cover hotel costs, say from one of their partner
sponsors, nothing flash just a good kip.i have mentioned this on
the mods section.
