Hi All,
I'm all for having some structure to the committee. Yes Please!
I expect like most of you there are just not enough hours in the
day and so I couldn't warrant putting myself forward for this.
Perhaps it could done on a rotating period where a different
person holds the chair every 3 months or something? We just need
someone to steer the conversation so we don't go off topic and
round in circles.
The following would help to start with;
1. A shortlist of all the suggested topics banded about so far
to be discussed at the next meeting
2. A thread for everyone to discuss the views about the topics
3. A voting poll / system so that it isn't "who shouts loudest
(or posts the most)" but democracy that decides which of the
topics listed get discussed first
Really keen to start contributing!
Cheers
Roy

Hi guys, sorry I took so long to join you. I am working quite
unsociable hours right now.
All good Ideas regarding structuring, would be happy to support.

get on here once a day after work - generally after 4pm onwards.

Think Weds is enough time before kicking things off, looking
forward to it.
Also, are the Lions the dirtiest team in the game!?

Wednesday is cool by me.
And what if, as part of communicating between the committee and
the forums, we all had chance to contribute to one document -
like a press release almost? The chair or vice chair could take
the secretary's minutes, expand upon some of the key points, and
then post it to here or upload it to a shared Dropbox folder.
That way, anyone who wasn't designated a specific title/role
within the committee would still have 48 hrs or so to
contribute/challenge anything in the document before it was
reported back to the forums.
I noted a timeframe there just because we don't want this same
thing to keep happening - where only half of the members
actually reply/visit the forum.
Just something to mull over

a prior commitment.

We're going to kick things off after Wednesday - get the ball
moving on planning the next committee meeting and discussing the
issues. Half of the members still haven't signed up/contributed
to this new forum so after Wednesday they won't be able to put
themselves forward for a more hands-on role, and will probably
miss some of the discussion.
Like the guys said, its almost been two weeks since the
committee, its time to start rolling.

Its a little unfair to say "those who haven't signed up or wont
be on tomorrow night" wont be a part of the active group.
Regardless of discussions or contributions here, everyone who is
in the committee has a right to voice their opinion. I am
starting to feel this is leaning towards an elected sub
committee where everyone who doesn't make the cut is just going
to be a back seat passenger.
