Mark, we have 17 of the 20 members at least logged on to the
site now, shall we just push on with time-lines - if people dont
come on here enough to vote on things then too bad- we just go
with the majority - lets not lose momentum?

17 out of 20 is more than enough for me! There are people from
the forums who would kill for the chance to be involved in this,
so lets not take this responsibility lightly eh.
I'd be more than willing to take some extra responsibility, but
as you guys can see by my post number, I'm not always the
quickest to reply, so I really don't think I'd be suitable for
chair or vice position. Anything else though, happy to help!
Also, yay for pre-season almost being here.

I think 17 out of 20 members being logged in is really good
going and would like to thank those people behind creating this
site and spending time getting us up and running. I wouldn't
have had the first idea how to do it.
In terms of overall activity on here, I've just been looking
back at the email I received from NFL UK when I applied for the
       Committee. It read:
"Some members have already been selected but you can still apply
to be part of the Fan Committee by emailing enquiries@nfl.com
(subject title: NFL Fan Committee). We will look for a mix of
fans - some who have been following the sport for a long time
and are among the most committed users on our forum; others who
are no less committed but are perhaps not always as vocal. So
when emailing us tell us what subject you would most want to
       discuss at the first meeting."
They did specifically say they wanted a range of fans and not
all of them to be super-users of the NFLUK forums. I certainly
wasn't - as I stated in both my application and at the meeting,
although I'm trying to be more active now.
I still believe that people that aren't active on the forums can
make a valuable contribution. Maybe not as much as Ken and the
others that do an excellent job moderating and facilitating this
process, but a contribution nonetheless. They will miss out on
specific/more active roles in the committee but that is hard
luck. But statistically, if we want the broadest representation
of all areas of NFL UK fan-dom, it should have a couple of
people that hardly ever/never even use the internet.
Surely the thing now is to get a topic selected for the next
meeting and take it from there? I'll put it on record that my
vote is/will be for discussing TV rights in the UK. Partly
because I think it will be a popular subject, partly because I
have a real personal interest in that subject from a business
perspective. Looking forward to seeing what turns out to be the
most popular topic with the fans!
       Best wishes
       Kevin
