Had a listen to last weeks NFLUK podcast. One of the things that
brought it home for the furtherment of this sport was the
figures bannded about to get sure foothold. 1,000,000
to1,500,00 registered fans would probably ensure a team here, so
how do fans and the NFL go about it. Introduce a friend/Booster
Clubs/Superbash Parties/ Sign ups at Wembley.
Their are a lot of avenues open to us, and if we as fans are
serious to get the NFL here we will have to grab them, not just
the committee but getting the fans on NFLUK on board.

These have all been mentioned before but its a good reminder.
maybe the focus shouldn't be on the things we can't change and
more on what we can do to expand the fan base. this will in turn
have longer term implications on the things we most want now
such as merchand tv coverage.
We need to get feedback from the post on the nfluk site to move
forward.
Also it may help to give the fan community the low down on the
tv rights issues as told to us.
It may shift those fans'views to another topic of interest.
likewise with the merchandising.
Once we have the opinions of the wider community we can start
developing a proposal for actioning.
Thoughts?
Chris
Any one else's thoughts please? .

I have always found the lack of official fan clubs rather
surprising.
As a fan of a sport 5,000 miles away, a fan club would really
help raise awareness of the game. I remember back in the days
when fan clubs were all the craze. You would get monthly
magazines, stickers, free pens and all that jazz and it really
helped build a bridge to the sport/club. I think a more mature
version of this would be great for the NFLUK.
Perhaps even a club whereby you get gamepass included and maybe
a monthly magazine. Obviously this would cost like £10 a month
but it could really help draw some people in (especially with
the gamepass).
Monthly meetings also a great idea. Bring a friend, social
events, draw in people from the street. Just getting the word
out is always going to help.
