Potential Topics for the Next Meeting

After compiling minutes on everything discussed on this site to
date, four topics have been raised as potential topics for the
       next meeting;
       1) International Series
       2) Merchandise
       3) Development of the Game
       4) TV Rights/Sky/Gamepass
If you have any other potential topic else please suggest it
       here.

i agree with these being the choices to be voted on by the main
site, we probably need to put in our initial angle on each topic
on the main site so people know for example we arent going to be
likely to have any influence over some of the topics but maybe
at least achieve and convey an understanding of them.

They are the obvious points to discuss as they are the ones that
       do keep on coming up.
i do feel that we should slide in the nil fan club idea, not as
a main topic to bring to the table but at the end of the next
meeting to als also give the staff at nil UK something to digest
and possibly suggest what their role could be in a fan club
       booster club.
I genuinely believe this a an important area in growing the
       fanbase.
       Excuse the predictive text.
       cheers

       1) - I think this will be a possible pointless section for the
next meeting giving the close proximity to the game. As has been
said a few times between us, this would perhaps suit better to
be left until after the IS game so we can reflect on what was
       good and bad.
       2) - Again much the same issue. The new shop/merch is due this
month. How can we really gain an accurate opinion until we see
       it?
       3) - Possibly a good topic but one which the NFL would possibly
struggle with. I think this should possible be focused on
looking to make links with existing NFL teams/leagues in the UK.
       4) - My understanding of this from the meeting is that basically
the TV companies dictate. We will struggle to have any influence
at all. Besides, in reality, we have a very very good TV deal
       with the NFL right now.
As with others, I really like the idea of the NFLUK organising
more country wide events. Be this "booster clubs" or "fan clubs"
or superbash events, I really feel strongly that this could be
an idea that gets implemented and has a chance to be successful.
Obviously, it's just one idea but hopefully I can get some of
       you onto my side :)

I'm with Graham on his point above. Does this broadly come under
option 3 (Development of the Game)? If not can we please add a
5th option along the lines of "Fan Social Events" or similar.
       Cheers

I am happy with the topics. However are we going to wait until a
next meeting to discuss them, or are we going to get together on
here at a suitable date. If we wait until the middle of Sept/
Oct for the meeting without having done anything seems pointless
       to me.
       1. The main topic that we could have some sort of influence is
the I.S. game and the associated tailgate and promotion of the
NFL in the U.K. this should be our main focus at this moment.
       2. The development of the game(encompassing UK Teams with the
idea of spreading out Superbash events.) .
       3. Merchandise is something which should be on the bubble even
although a new company is taking over, we will have to push for
cheaper goods in line with the USA and a greater range.
       4. The TV rights although tv companies seem to be the main
inputers that does not stop the fans putting forward views
points, that may eventually be picked up as an obvious idea to
       boost viewers.

I would say we get these points out to the fan forum and to our
local communities if there are fans we know and then collateral
their suggestions and then have another meeting to formalise
what it is we want to put to the nfluk.
Seems the best way to do this is give the forum 2 weeks to get
their ideas forward. then we can organise it into something more
structured hence giving a better representation of the fan
community. did i repeat myself? Just trying to be clear.
       Cheers

Thats a good idea - moving the ideas to the forum to see what
       the opinions are like.
I can do it tonight to get the weekend rush if there are no
objections or if someone else would rather the role, feel free
       :)
Edit: Noticed no one was around so I put a post on the NFLUK
       forums:

Any changes to be made, let me know. Also if we elect a direct
liaison to the forum, obviously they can take over the forum as
such, I have no problems with that :)

What I would say is let one of the mods know if something is to
be posted so we can make it a sticky if necessary. It's just to
make sure it doesn't get missed especially with the new season
       just around the corner.

There hasn't been much action on the forums.
Should I perhaps also post in the "International Series"
       section?
