I would rather stay on here, I can understand both sides as well
but as its been said we still font have the full committee on
here so are we going to get everyone logged on to facebook
including those that haven't been seen since the meeting.

i've looked around facebook now - it appears it can be good as a
starting point but once used a lot it actually can become quite
difficult to find things/topics - most of the pages i found
effective had very little on them

While Facebook is fine as a social media it cannot be used in
situations like this. It is to open and topics discussions can
be lost.
Sorry but I do not agree that because nine have voted that us a
given. We have a major problem trying to get anything done as a
committee and jumping onto something else is frankly daft at
this time. Let's just get something done and back to the fans
first.

Hi, Ok so 2:1 in favour of a move to facebook from 60% of the
committee.
Here's what I'm going to suggest we do...
Before making any moves, I'll set up a facebook page and install
the necessary apps so that we can have a forum on the page, it's
only accessible to ourselves, we have a voting mechanism on
there etc.
Can I get a couple of you to help evaluate it and give feedback?
Once we've done that we can take things from there.
Cheers
Roy

Sounds good Roy. Personally I think it'll make things easier,
and I disagree with Mark - I find it just as difficult to
navigate posts/topics on here as I would on Facebook.
And in terms of it being difficult to get all the members onto
this forum - surely thats because people are already plugged
into and dedicating time to other website/forums...such as
Facebook?

Got to disagree with you Phil, if folk were so passionate about
this committee not coming on and taking part because it is not
on Facebook then that is poor.
Maybe less worrying about how we get on and talk and start
getting seriously down to buisness is far more important at
this early stage.

Hi Mark,
I definitely share your sentiment about getting things done, I
have to be honest though, it's frustrated the shit out of me so
far that we've accomplished sweet FA.
We need a better, more efficient way of communicating and a
process that's more democratic too. Clearly we should have voted
on facebook back on NFLUK before this forum was created...but
because a small minority objected to Facebook this was created.
I will however ensure that any migration is as seamless as each
individual wants to make it.
Cheers

There was no talk of facebook when I set this site up, then the
idea got banded about as we were struggling to get all the
members on here. However I agree with Mark and if your
passionate about this then you will do what it takes and have
your input etc on whatever is out there. I started a NFLUK
facebook page a while back for just general banter etc and we
now have nearly 120 members. I done have a major problem with it
but it would be no better than what we have.
