Moving to Facebook

So I'd like to put it to the vote that we move away from this
forum. Like many others here I'm pushed for time and need to fit
the Committe in around many other commitments. Moving to
Facebook would allow us to easily keep updated with the various
topics especially when on the move from a mobile device. We've
already heard from others that they are not big on forums and so
Facebook will provide a wider and more balanced view. It surely
has to be more productive too.

Facebook for me too.
I work unsociable hours and it seems that these regular forum
postings are done in the evenings when im at work. Facebook
would be so much easier.

I am for staying here. It is bad enough trying to get things
started at the moment without another avenue being opened up.

I don't fine this forum model that easy to navigate and keep up
with. I think FB would be easier.

I'll go with the flow I guess. Personally I'd rather stick with
this, but if the majority want FB then fine. I don't even have a
FB account, let alone know how to find my way around one, but if
needs be I'll create one.

I can see your point about starting another avenue Mark. however
i can see the her side of this using fb as many people already
have accounts and apps to access it easily on the go. also u can
get notifications popping up on your mobile when someone
comments on a thread. i know u can get notifications on the
forum but u actually have to click on the email link to see what
was said.
I am happy to do either now though fb would have been my first
choice as i do access it.

I'm happy to go with facebook or to stay with this, either suits
me fine, whatever the majority wants.

Hi All,
So we have had 9 votes in total so far with 7 of those being in
favour of a move over to facebook.
I guess the absence of the other 11 voters validates the issue
that a move to facebook would be more inclusive.
There's still a couple of days left before the poll closes.
Anyone want to take on the role of facebook administrator?

The absence of 11 voters illustrates the problem perfectly,
whether we use this or facebook or something else is not the
issue at the moment. Also if we do use facebook how are we
supposed to organise comments as per topics/subtopics? its just
going to end up being a mix of everything. We have had the
meeting almost a month ago and progress has been slow at best,
whatever the platform there will be pros and cons.
