The giant piloting the ship walks off, his suit is red and black
with a golden hue around him possibly a lantern corps unfiorm
from his...no that's stupid, though the dudes face looks like a
damn tree so I don't know why to believe. He walks towards us
and speaks "green light smiths of this universe. I've come to
collect your light. Surrender your rings light smiths. Vow to
Weil the emotional spectrum no longer, and ill allow you to
leave the planet unharmed." "Lanterns gulliver! We're green
lanterns. And surrender isint really in our vocabulary." "You
drain the emotional spectrum with lanterns instead of pyramids,
we ponied it through rings instead of staffs. And you are
much....tinier than the light smiths of my universe.but you are
no less stubborn or destructive. If you don't know the meaning
of surrender-- than you give me no alternative but to teach you.
Spectrum collection has begun."
While I was still thinking of my awesome Gulliver line I
realize that millions of...things come out of his ship, they
look like metallic hornets an I don't like hornets. They make a
beeline to all of the lanterns surrounding me and start to swarm
them. "Kyle the hell are these things!" "How should I know?! He
diddint use these against us last time!" Hal said "Damn things
won't pry lose!" "You want light relic? You got it!" I fire a
bolt at relic and it just bounced off of him. "Your ignorance
offends me. All within the emotional spectrum." "Phillip stop!"
"Will die by the spectrum." My own blast gets redirected at me
and hits me right in the face. "His tech can absorb and redirect
the light coming from our rings." "Ya no shit Kyle! You cunt.
But on the bright side I pack hell of a wallop. John says "why
isint he attacking us? he's just standing there." "He's after
the light in our rings and batteries he's collecting them for
some reason." "I wouldint have mind if he kept my ring blast."
"I don't think he wants any bullets already fired from the gun,
I think he wants the ammo dump. "Jordan, Charles, if the central
power battery is emptied..." "We got it." "New plan, Kyle take
daisy and concentrate taking out relics collectors. Start at the
central battery and work your way out. Killawog, lead the rest
of the lanterns. Especially the recruits. We don't new panicking
at a time like this." "Ill keep 'em in line hal." "John and Hal
go to the armory and secure the lantern batteries were going to
need those charged." "Why are you going to do?" "I'm a
charismatic guy. I know how to get someone's attention."
"Uh Phillip we have a small problem..." "What?" "They ate
through the vault." The great vault once filled with a green hue
and mlions of lanterns now had its color extinguished and only
blackness remained. The two lanterns get attached by the swarms
of collectors as they grab as many lanterns as possible.
High above the planet I fly towards the giant tree thing. I from
a rocket launcher and hit him, he barley notices "I've studied
the emotional spectrum all my life little light smith. Do you
think if wage war without discovering how to combat you first?
You brought this violence upon yourselves." He redirects my
energy and send it back...again. Te collectors open there mouths
and orange lasers shoot out from them, I fly ad pick up two
recruits before try get killed by them. The planet becomes
nothing more than orange and green energy being exchanged across
the surface. "You alright guys?" "Better than the laws of
probability says we should be." John and Hal come with a handful
of lanterns "these are all of the batteries we could get before
we got overrun!" "Alright! Get them charged up and were goo for
a couple days! We're getting through this!" "Phillip...they're
all empty." The sky scraping lanterns have collectors all over
them an the once glowing center is now dark and decrepit.
"Alright the central battery's are only hope. Everyone grab a
lantern, recruits how many can you hold?!" "Gazzl, I'm recruit
Gazzl" "ain't nobody give a fuck what your name is I asked you a
question! Now everyone go!"
The remnants of the Green lantern corps run down the street as
John and Hal use the last of there rings energy to form a bubble
sheild, they get to the battery and stop in there tracks. "Am I
seeing what I think I'm seeing?" "We're done for....the central
power battery is dead." Relic hovers around the dead battery
"see how quickly your ewer was emptied? The universes reservoir
must surely be near depletion." "The battery is empty because
you robo dicks bled it dry. You've got one hell of an
imagination." "Ill put your light to nobler uses tan you eve
have. Your time of consumption is over." With that last sentence
the battery shakes and explodes. Sending a shock wave across the
entire planet.
Hours later we awaken and throw the rubble off of us, we examine
the damage, the great battery now a husk spewing green energy
into the atmosphere surrounded by destroyed buildings. "It's
gone...the central battery is destroyed." "It's alright sarlack
we need to stop relic before he wipes out the other corps." "No
you don't understand! When the battery was installed its
infrastructure was embedded throughout the catacombs it reaches
to oas core. It's detonation will cause a chain reaction
throughout the entire planet. Oa is going to die."
