[PROTOTYPE] season 1 ep 5 the defenders

The monster crashe into the street and bolts down the street
tearing up gravel and concrete behind it Dana still trying to
get free from his grasp, even as the creature uses its putrid
right paw to keep her in his grasp he still runs incredibly
fast. If this happend an hour a ago I'd be all on him I could
now travel halfway across the city in three seconds flat, a feat
I was going to brag to Dana. But when I try to run that fast my
body gets wracked with pain,whatever was on my body was making
me weak even as I run I'm constantly slowing down. I'm barley
keeping up with by the time we reach Central Park, the beast
stops running and uses the momentum to hit me into a castle in
the middle of the park that's when I get a good look at the
destruction thousands of people running along the paths and
lakes this was a kill zone. The people were either dying by
getting eaten by the infected or blown up or run over by the
tanks patrolling the surrounding streets. A BLACKWATCH sniper is
on the roof of the castle radioing in air strikes and as the
creature gets farther a way I order take out. I blast off as
fast as I can in my situation grabbing the guy by the arm almost
ripping it out of its socket, that's when I realized my strength
was going to I rip off his head and consume him as I run by a
family thankfully the only thing that happens to the daughter
who witnessed it is mental scarring. I chase the dog to a
construction sight BLACKWATCH and the Mary on both of our tails
the dog called it hunters tat take out most of the military
personnel." Where's Michel Vick when you need em?" I corner him
on the roof and he jumps to a nearby roof, the struggle causing
it to loosen his grasp on Dana I reach out my hand to grab hers
and when I get it. A rocket hits me... From a helicopter, I go
crashing into a building knocked out cold. DAY 14 OF INFECTION
INFECTION RATE 95%: i have no idea why greene took my sister
revenge, bait for a trap? all i knew was i had to get her back.
these infected are like animals but theres something more like a
hidden hand guiding them the hie mind became my only chance it
was a clue to find Dana I thought by consuming infected miss I
could follow the link and that would lea me to the one that took
her but then i realized i had the means, i had blackwatch
cornered i had their cancer weapon I could put a stop to this
right at the source if I could get close enough to Greene so I
find Dana kill Greene, and stop the madness seemed worth a
shot." "We'll it seemed to work." "Oh ya there headless an
infected army without a leader it's only a matter of time before
there wiped out." "And if there are others out there?" "No there
all dead...all dead,except me."
I awake several hours later to a far worse situation the
delevega industries billboard was thrown off of me the thing is
I didn't do it." Cap I found anothe...holy hell brooding dude
right? "Alex and I don't brood." "Sure man whatever just don't
cut yourself on your edginess c'mon." I grab his hand and I see
the situation now, the infected made quick work of the
occupation another sector of New York lost and when I though
that a memory was triggered I hold my head and suddenly I was in
some kind of planning room listing to a 50ish year old man he
was a general the tag read Randall he was missing his left arm
and was overlooking documents that were just brought to him. "If
the infection rate goes above 75% than we retreat to raven rock
and we solve this infection just like we did at hope now get out
there and continue your patrols." "Hey Alex are you okay?"
"Hope." "Hope? Damn cap I think we got a crazy one." "No I'm
fine I just remembered something...wait fid you just say cap?"
Just than captain America,hawkeye, and iron man came into my
view. "Yep we've been helping out where we can and protecting
the civilians we call ourselves the Defenders!" "That's shit
that's a shit name." " oh like you could come up with a
better....wait turn around." Suddenly they all surrounded me and
drew their weapons,that's when I noticed there costumes were
almost non existent Spider-Man's mask barley covered his his
eyes his costume were nothing but shreds the spider symbol now
only has 2 legs. Iron mans armor was in worse condition only one
hand can fire repulor blasts and he can barley fly with his
voice box almost nonfunctioning. "Now can you inform us why you
have a cancer on your back?" Iron man says after scanning me
"more importantly why do you not have a pulse,organs, or bones?"
If I was at a job interview for the defenders this would be the
equivalent of showing up late and calling them a racial
slur."what do you mean no organs or bones?" "We'll gee kid your
right I guess your only missing one set of all your organs!"
"That's impossible now if you'll excuse me I have to go solve
that cancer problem thing." "Hold on soldier you can't just go
walking off." " we'll than you all better get to following me
cause I need to rescue my sister." "We can't waste that much
time Spider-Man" he whispers" go with him and make sure he's not
a threat when your done meet us at stark tower." "I captain my
captain." I now had a skin tight dude with a spider fetish
following me." "Whoa wait up hi the hell can you run this fast?"
He says barley keeping up with me " I don't know." I say and
just to impress him I jump and glide the rest of the way i jump
down and consume as many infected as possible when i find
another leader hunter i pounce at it but i cant consume it i
realize its because it has two brains and two spinal columns. I
break both bald and I consume it I not only get connected to the
hive mind but my hands begin to morph into giant spheres of hard
biomass they look light wrecking balls. I jump and swing one
forward slings hitting myself at a hunter that was going to get
Spider-Man "gee thanks man and do you do that often?" "What"
throw a hissy fit whenever your hands transform? "Only when I'm
with someone useless." " hey that's hurtful." We make out way
back to Raglands hospital. "Dr ragland?" "yes?" ragland was a
mid 40s adult male his skin was dark and is hair was white so
was his beard barley making it to his neck.probably haven't
shaved in a while his gloves and green doctors garb are covered
in blood"oh no you can't be here if they find you here they'll
kill her!" "Who's her Ragland?" "My daughter they kidnapped her
told me if I could research these monsters and develop a cure
against these monsters I'm going to get Theresa back!" "Doctor
when was he kidnapped?" "2days ago why?" "Because doctor she was
killed accidentally by a rookie BLACKWATCH private his commander
wanted to keep the charade up until you were finished than he
was going to kill you." "You're a monster how dare you try to
get me to help you by pretending my daughter was dead! They told
me you would do this they told me!" "Doctor did the man look
like this?" I transformed into an 18 year I'd boy with ginger
hair and a scar beneath his right eye. "Yes why did you
transform into him?" "Because that's where I got the memories
doctor from him." " but they said they'd keep us safe when
FIREBREAK happened!" "The hells firebreak doc" "it's a last
effort by blackwatch that's all I know!" "I'm sorry doctor that
was a lie." Ragland broke right there he crawled into a ball and
started crying and i passed out from the pain not to far
behind.2 DAYS LATER INFECTION RATE 56%: Spider-Man Ragland and
I have spent the past 48 hours reaserching the virus and
patrolling the city with spiderman while patrolling midtown an
explosion hits us and sends us back what's left of his mask
disintegrates I catch a peak a brown haired white male probably
19. He webs up his face making a makeshift mask when he sees a
red head being chased by infected of other exploded building
"NO!" Spidey rushes in but gets hit back by a hunter she's about
to be bitten when I dive down head first causing a small shock
wave the infected are distracted by me and I hit my knuckles
together to form an even bigger shockwave killing the infected.
The thing was the infection had begun to adapt to my situation
suddenly i keel over and my arms become engrossed in a metallic
shine i felt stronger.I pick up the woman who's in a state of
shock and place her on roof and I get the hunter from behind as
i snap its neck. i realized this power gave me twice as much raw
strength I had before! Unfortunately that would put me at around
how strong I was before the cancer. A tank spot me and began
firing, I picked up the tank and hurled it to new jearsy pretty
good or a demo of my new power. Spider-Man realizes the girl is
safe and thanks me " Thank you so much shed be dead right now if
it wasn't for you.... and i cant believe i just admitted that"
ahe obviously means something to him so I return the favor I
told them both everything what's happened to me when I scence
the dog who took Dana is leading a pack near me, I took off out
of the neatly packed lab I take one look at the infected on the
slabs and take off, I find the damn thing and break its nose
hole,thing but I can't consume it. He throws me off of it and he
chases me, this damned cancer now took away my safety net I tell
to Spider-Man to get the hell out he Webs him up and stop on him
and it only knocks him out, we throw him into the basement. The
officers barley noticed cause the other hunters were attacking
them spidey jumps in to save them as I walk back in I can't
afford to be found out in my state 2 HOURS LATER:"what's
happening to me?" "They know you carry the infection they might
be using you to produce antibodies. If we learn what it's doing
maybe I can help you find a way to make your biology reject it."
"How?" "Cut off its food supply spidey that's what he's
suggesting." " well we might have an idea." "If you are nothing
but the virus than the cancer is antibodies trying to develop a
cure, if we don't do anything about this a cure might be
developed but you'll be eaten alive by it." "So were gonna let
it happen right?" "What Spider-Man you're kidding me!" "We'll
gee Alex what choice do we have I'm not sacrificing my family
just so a dude who's not even alive can "live" " uh gentlemen
there might be another way." "Well don't keep us in suspense
doc." " if you can find the original penn station bodies we
might be able to synthesize antibodies from the originals strain
than if you can find a hunter that has a similar genetic code
and you consume it you should be cured." "But I can't consume
doctor." "Not true you can but it will take not more of the
BLACKLIGHT to do it." "Alright we'll where are the bodies ill
put on my examiner gloves and we'll grab em." "That's the thing
the bodies were moved and there....there in the helicarrier." I
am so fucked."we can't just brake into the carrier I've sent he
way you operate mercer you are not going to kill anyone." "Keep
your underwear on Spider-Man no ones gonna die I have a plan."
Right before we leave I turn on my infected vision my eyes see
the world in black and orange anyone thats infected has a orange
hue around them I can see everyone who's infected thankfully
outside it hasn't spread I look to Spider-Man to tell him and
that's when I make a horrifying discovery. Spider-Man was
colored orange.
