"Everyone wants to go a little faster today but traffic has been
at a standstill since sunrise. People from keystone, coast, and
all across the west coast are trying to make their way to Hub
city. And its absolute gridlock. Preparations for the most
monumental flash celebration in years is well under way. It
began late last night when the justice league verified that yes,
the rumors are true...Hub cities Flash is back! Along with news
of Kid flash is safe this might just be the greatest day in the
history of the Scarlet speedsters that have protected our
cities. We will be back live just as the celebration begins."
It's a beatific day to be back. Even though I shouldint be. I
used to be forensic analist Donovin Craig. I used to be the
fastest man alive. I used to be the flash.
the line for the flash museam stretches to the very limits of
the city. I uh...got here first.
"Sorry for the line. Did you wait long?" "An eternity." "Have
you been to the museum before?" "You could say that." "Then
welcome back. We're open till five today." "thanks. But I won't
stay that long."
look at this crowd. Look at the fanfare. This is amazing.

everyone is putting up decorations as Jay Garrick begins to
speak. "Donovin made me the flash." Stargirl says "what? You
were the flash decades before him. You were the first!" "but I
stopped running." "What are you talking about?" The first green
lantern walks up "jays talking about when he and Joan vanished
off the map." "The shade and the fiddler. Those two altered the
vibrational frequencies of keystone city. Time frozen but that
wasint what slowed me down. I thought I was past tunning. But
this kid...all those years most of the time I couldint run
faster than the speed of sound. But when the dust settled he
looked at me and grinned. I ran twenty times the speed of sound
that day."
The flash museam is insane. Life sized wax models and hell.
Giant sized ones too. For having so many people the place is
spotless too, who'd guess?
"World too fast for you?" Barry allen walks up to him. "The
wolrds finally catching up. Everyone's doing six things at once.
It's annoying." "It's exciting. " "everyone's paling these
welcome back parties including the league. So why do I find you
here?" "I'm catching up on what I missed. When I ran around that
anti matter cannon the speed force made me join it. I lost any
concept of who I was. I remember glimpses of stuff but that's
it. I'm back at the starting line and I don't know why. I feel
the speedforce calling me back. I wasint supposed to come back."
"You filled my boots and you even have kid flash." "You escaped
a fate no one thought possible. Who cares how or why? Stop and
smile for a second."
"As much as I want to I cant. I'm not going to any parties or
parades. I can't be late." He presses on his ring and the flash
costume forms around him. "for what?" "For whatever the wold
needs Me for." The flash runs off leaving barry there.

As the flash runs a man emerges from the speed force. His blue
hair falls to his shoulders and his golden mask shines.
"I'm free!"
looks like Salvatore. The museum said he was the leader of
aspeed Colts. A psychopath who sacrifice innocent lives to run
until Barry push them into this field force. He's a murderer,
and he's on the run
the flash chases after him
"I'm not sure how you escaped but your about to wish you
hadint." "stay away from me!" The flash grabs the man and he
screams as his body deteriorates. "You. We're the beginning.
And the end" He turns to dust.
suddenly every speedster screams as lighting strikes them
"What the hell did I just do?"
FALLVILLE IOWA
Two children run into a cornfield and stumble upon a dead man.
The area around him is burned and the black flash costume dawns
the corpse. "It smells like burning rubber." "I uh ink it's
dead?"

My first thought. This looks like a crime scene.
o look at the pile of dust that used to be a human as Barry runs
to me.
"What happened?!" "Don't get to close. His metal mask was the
only thing not affected. Same as his clothes." "Who did?" "That
savi person." "Savitar?!" ".......maybe. as I reached high
velocity I think he used me as a doorway to free himslef from
his prison." "you can handle this right?" "Ya I mean he is-was
my villan." "Good."
the flash speeds off.
JUSTICE SOCIETY
"aim fine Joan just a little winded."
apparently he experienced some kind of speed seizure. He
collapsed. mine also had something similar but to a much lesser
extent, he's no longer as connected to the speed force as
before. Kid Flash is a little different. His seizure was longer
than JS and more painful. The same service truck berry and the
kids.
"but the science behind this is a little... I don't f****** know
all we do know is that it happened to all of us at the same
moment."
Binshou looks at the flash as they run "why diddint I feel
anything? and out of all the places why is there a lightning
storm brewing in some fucking Iowa city?" "Could be weather
wizard." but it's not."
The two arrive and see the dead body. "It's black flash." "how
the hell do you kill death?"

"Like this!" A blur runs around the two and hits the flash away
"you killed my master you will die!" Binshou grabs her arm and
throws her
"my name is cristiana Aleksandrova hi Priestess to the speed
Lord Salvatore you murdered the man I worship!"
"I have the speed of hundreds!" She runs and kicks binshou in
the head.
"I'm faster." The flash grabs her leg.
it happens as soon as I touch her. Tyler convulses in pain as it
hits him too. Some kind of feedback. and I can't slow... Down.
ORed energy spreads over the Flash's costume he's once Scarlett
and gold turns black and red
"Donovin. Your the black flash!"

the Justice League members scramble as they contain the black
flash his red energy spread all throughout the glass tube he's
kept in.
I recognize some of them as they arrive. A lot of the others are
entirely new to me. But they're all here do the same thing. They
want to bring a dead man back to life. It's still hard to look
kid flash in the eye. Last time I really saw him he was a good
four inches shorter. His shoulders werent as broad. I feel
guilty.
"my body must be processing inordinate amounts of Speed Force to
keep me here. Its taking every bit it can but it wants more."
Jay Garrick runs up "that's why we're going to separate you from
the Speed Force."
well Kid Flash has gotten older. JS gotten younger energy and
enthusiasm. I've heard what he's done with the Justice Society
how is training the kids of the future. J always wanted to be a
father. In some ways he's like mine was. A man who loved tracks.
A man loves his wife. A good man.

future, solving crimes and stopping the bad guys. But you always
took a breath. And you always slow down long enough to spend
time with your friends."
the energy crackles

every lightning bolt aims for the tube as it eventually breaks
and he hits the ground.
"What are you doing?!" "Making a choice. I'm running back to the
speed force!"

The flash looks and on either side is Barry and superman. "I'm
not going to let you do this. The league has lost John, and
Arthur. Even Omar. We can't lose you too. Not while there's
still hope." Says superman "I can't hurt anyone else." "I've
raced with you dozens of times I even won some of those races."
"those were for charity barry."
The flash speeds off leaving barry and superman in the dust.
a band of muscles in my thighs tighten up. A surge runs down my
spine as a good nights. Flush transforms into electricity. & I
remember, I remember what happened when I became part of the
speed for us. What the speed force you become a part of light.
And while there's a sense of ultimate awareness that's games,
and non animal questions, and a perspective on University you
were in an ant farm. I've learned you trade for who you are for
it. You lose any semblance of individuality. I share the cost
and vibration that under the universe and time roughly around
me. I wash my life rewind. I see my return. My death. My
friends. Long as I remember patty I'll be alright. As long as I

Bruce and I used to compare notes in the seemingly endless list

daughter runs into something

Impulse is running down the street toward a house he's only been
to once before. "I need to see if Barry is feeling what im
feeling, i really hope hes home." He stops infront of the Allen
residence and opens the door to see the two kids and the yellow
clad man. "No, thats not possible! You were sucked into the
speedforce!"
"Thawnes lightning is corrupting me I need to find a way out of
here!"
"I cant leave Donovin. J has Joan. Barry has iris, you have
patty. All the speedsters, when you're pushed to the limit they
need a lightning rod the ground Ben. I never had an anchor. I
can't run out of here which you... You're not like the rest of
us your like thawne. when you were hit by that bolt of lightning
you didn't happen to the speed for you created it. When you run
you generate the kinetic wall between the present and the time
Barrier. it's an electrical energy that exist in every dimension
in every universe in every era. Its such as every part of
reality. It contains our knowledge of every place in time. The
speed for is being all encompassing / Fri. If you don't stop him
on his feet will grow and continue to eat away at yours destroy
yours you need to move more fuel protect them run!"

sitting next to him

Barry credit. you're much more attractive in the flesh then you
are in the history books. And look your son has your eyes."
He runs and grabs jai
"I can feel they're tied to the Speed Force tangled and I'm not.
Their bodies haven't managed to mainline it yet. Hush now
children. I'll entangle the knocks and then strangle you with
the rope."
