We need amendments for new laws, what you said mithea is you
don't want laws in this region. If I got it. Please explain your
self more
[/quote] Not that laws shouldnt be used but that they do not
solve everything. Certain thins are good with laws and others
arent. I think that there shouldnt be more laws, i think that
the laws we have already should be more specific.

For the laws that are created i think they should go through a
vote in the forums like elections do. That way, you know whether
or not if the people like the decision.

I do not believe that a general vote is the proper way for a law
to be overturned. I believe that if member nations of New
Republica are concerned with the passing or execution of a bill
they can bring this up with the senators as part of an open
discourse between the members of the regional government and the
members of the region. If senators believe that the law in
question should be overturned, then they can bring it up at the
next senatorial meeting, or sooner.

For instance, Article 6, section 6 of the constitution states
that to override an amendment a new amendment needs to take its
place. I think that you should say that the new amendment must
relate to the other amendment in some way, because some guy
wants to get all smart makes some crazy amendment to replace the
other one and he is not aloud to because the officials say that
that has nothing to do with the old amendment. But technically
there is nothing in the constitution saying that he cant replace
the amendment with that new one. So he files a case to the
supreme court. If that amendment were to be more specific in the
first place none of that would have to happen.

I would like to have the following topics brought up with my
fellow senators to discuss openly:

[li]Use of the forum[/li]
[li]Use of the region's factbook[/li]
[li]Proper electoral procedure[/li]
[li]Political party formation and regulation[/li]
[li]Proper procedure for submitting bills to vote[/li]
[li]Scheduling of sessions of Congress (Senate meetings)[/li]
[li]Structure of the judicial system and the Supreme Court[/li]

This is the essential question with all governments. If all
citizens can vote, why not have them vote directly on laws
instead of having congress decide. And the answer is simple:
because you cannot organize the entire populace for a vote every
time a new bill needs to be passed into law.
The Senate is needed as a forum for debate between those
knowledgable in the Constitution. The populace votes on Senators
because they believe that these are the individuals who will
take what their views and desires are into account.
