I feel that it would be in our best interest to conduct a merge
with a smaller region. This could really help with our amount of
active nations and also it could bring new ideas and ways of
doing things, as well as getting rid of the current crisis
before us. I would like a discussion to take place as to
everyone's opinion on this proposition, on the forum of course,
to keep a degree of secrecy to this topic.

How would this happen? For example would we stay New Republica
with our government intact and just add a smaller nation's
regions or would it be a joint government? Also what regions
would you suggest for this merger?
Also, this brings back the idea of bringing our colonies home. I
would support this as we could still keep our government and
present laws.

We can bring up the idea to the Senate again, but my position is
at the moment where it was before. That is in regards to the
bringing home of our colonies.

In response to your questions about the merger, well, it is what
is to be decided in our negotiations with the other region will
be. I would prefer it to just be us keeping our government and
region here and them moving here. Also, I feel like we should
hold special elections to fill the vacancies when they arrive. I
would happily endorse the leader of the merging region to become
the VP. If everyone in the region could agree to that, I believe
that would be a powerful bargaining tool in the negotiations. As
to which region to merge with, well, that is to be decided. I
believe Beta Test is currently in the process of searching for
one.

I've been toying with the idea for a couple weeks now, but I
just notified Beta earlier today when I said I did in the RMB.

We could just offer to hold an election over the vacant seat
currently being held by beta test.
