       As this is a forum that strives to be fair. It was not the end
       of the 1st. No formal deadline was declared so both nominees are
       up for election.

       I miss the times when candidates had a campaign before an
       election😔
       And to my understanding, if an election is on the 1.1., you have
       to register your candidate before that date.

       As there was no formal announcement and time frame for a
       nomination.  It is not fair to penalise someone who put up their
       hand on the 1st.

       Article IV
       Section 5: All citizens of the NeoConfederate states shall be
       eligible to vote for the office of president. Election shall be
       by popular vote and shall be held on the following days: January
       1st, March 1st, May 1st, July 1st, September 1st and November
       1st. No person except a citizen of the NeoConfederate States
       shall be eligible to the office of President.
       any votes cast after the 1st are null.

       I wasn't able to vote. I've been busy with holiday festivities
       and didn't even realize voting was happening so this wasn't fair
