"What are you going to name them?" the apprentice asked her.
Fawnleap looked down at her two beautiful kits and smiled
softly. "I'm going to name the cream tabby Heatherkit and the
ginger tabby Aspenkit," she purred, beaming.
"Beautiful names," Alderpaw complimented. "I'll leave you
alone with them," he meowed softly before padding out of the

Heatherkit mewled loudly, wriggling as she made her way to her
mother's belly. Her mews quieted down, if only a bit, before she
started to suckle.

Daisykit loved kits, but couldn't have them, no no! being a
leader would cause too much. She listened to their mewls,
smiling.

sleep, one of the only things a newborn could do.

The Runt of the litter, the only tom. He raced for the food, the
tiny heart in his chest beating fast. He didn't even get named
by his own mom! The tiny blue point let out a distressed mew,
struggling to find the warm milk scent.

brother, as if she could hear him and simply wanted him to shut
up. She stopped nursing to mewl, surprised she had touched
something that was behind her. Already she was trying to turn
and find out what it was.
[I should make a thread where they find out Heatherkit is blind.
It'll be a time skip to when she opens her eyes for the first
time though]
