Benvolio and Mercutio were just walking along, wandering as they
usually did when Benvolio picked up on a noise. It sounded to
him like another cat. The tabby grew curious and left his
excitable companion behind to investigate.

Ben looked around, narrowing his eyes slightly. Surely this
other cat couldn't have left that quickly? The scent was fresh,
he just... Couldn't pick up where it lead off to. He wasn't very
good with tracking, that was Mercutio's strong point.
"I think they left, whoever they were." He called to his
companion who followed up behind him.
"We could have made a new friend." Mercutio sighed, earning a
glare from Ben.
"What?"
"The cat might have been aggressive."
"You're so negative."
"Whatever."
The two ended their small conversation and settled to discuss
where to head off to next.

Ben turned at the rustling of a bush and blinked. He knew the
cat couldn't have gone far! Before he could say anything though,
Mercutio was approaching the younger cat.
"Hello there! Who are you?"

way out here?" Ben asked, stepping forward a bit to let Mercutio
know he was talking.
