Heaven in this Hell - Joining

For her whole life, all she’s ever done was
run away. She ran away from her home, her family, her fears, the
pain. It’s not like she had a choice, was what she was
convince herself to feel. After all, she’s always had her
own choice. Breathing out a deep, long sigh, the feline backed
up against a tree to take a rest. She had been walking for days,
and nothing was to be found. The female was lucky enough to find
a forest to take shelter in. Perhaps here was where she could
find some decent food to hunt down. Yesterday, the day before,
the day before that… it was all grass and insects. Not
much was to be found on the moor, that was unless you knew how
to hunt down huge birds like hawks alone. Why did she have to be
so stubborn and leave the perfect home she had? It was just a
little fight. She wanted to make her way back, but she had no
idea how to, or where to start. Maybe it’d just be easier
to start a new life with a new group of people. That’s why
she took it upon her own paws to thrust on forward and search
for others who were willing to accept her. So far, nothing
caught her eye. About to drift off into a deep sleep, her ears
shot up at the sight of the slightest sound. Sniffing the dense
air, the feline quickly scattered upright ready for battle. She
scented another one of her kind nearby. No, it wasn’t just
one, but several. “W-Who’s there?” Swishing
her tail back and forward, she bared her teeth like an idiot. Of
course she didn’t actually know how to fight, but the
least she could do was put up an act. “Show
yourself!”

"Dear StarClan," Pikestar
grumbled as he padded out of the shadows with a mouse in his
jaws. He saw the skranny she-cat and flicked his tail, a grimm
expression on his face. She didn't look so great; must have been
traveling for a long time, probably all alone.
"Calm down," the mackrel tabby ordered. "you're in SkyClan
territory. State your name and business here."

Juniperpaw wasn't too far behind. The older apprentice felt
privileged to joining the leader on a patrol. It gave him
numerous chances to prove that he could be a warrior. He glanced
at the stranger, staying quiet since Pikestar had already asked
the she-cat the required information.
