Heatherkit like it was time to. It was just a feeling that every
kit got at some point. The cream tabby opened her eyes, but
seemed confused and blinked her pretty blue eyes. It looked the
same as when she didn't open her eyes.[/font][/td]

Keeping her eyes what she believed was opened, she tried to
wobble up to her paws and crawl around. Was there something over
her eyes or was it just very dark? She let out a distressed

to look at her kits, she saw Heatherkit padding around
mindlessly.

and instantly knew what was wrong with her; she was blind.
Heatherkit's milky blue eyes and constant tripping were a quick
tell.
"Heatherkit," she meowed gently, "would you mind fining mommy
the biggest leaf in the den?"
Although it seemed pretty clear that Heatherkit was blind,
Fawnleap had to be sure.[/font][/td]

"Of course I can!"
She tried to blink herself into seeing, as if still believing
something was simply over her eyes as she turned and tried to
find a leaf, feeling over each one to see which was the biggest
