history. ValleyClan was formed by a group of traveling loners
whose leader was a tom named Apple. They traveled from Clan to
Clan and participated as warriors in exchange for food. One day,
the group was on their way to visit a Clan named LakeClan who
was living in a beautiful valley. When Apple and his loners got
their, they found that the LakeClan camp was deserted and the
Clan had vanished. Determined to carry on their legacy, Apple
formed his own Clan in their territory. Instead of naming the
Clan after the beautiful lake that made the LakeClan camp, Apple
named the Clan ValleyClan after the entire beauty of the
land.[/font]

mountains. There is a river that runs through the middle of the
territory and pools into a small lake which is where the Clan
makes their camp. The river's source is a waterfall which has a
cave behind it. In the cave is a small pool. That is the
Moonpoll; it is how ValleyClan leaders and medicine cats and
leaders contact StarClan. Before an apprentice can become a
warrior, they must make the journey to the Moonpool.[/font]

are ready to take on an apprentice. You will be mentor to

pass on what you know down to [insert apprentice's name here]."
- When the current deputy of the Clan dies, the leader holds a
ceremony to promote a new deputy using these words:

previous deputy here], so that [his/her] spirit may hear and
approve my choice."

- These words are used if the current Clan deputy is driven from
the Clan or steps down:

- When a medicine cat picks an apprentice, these words are used:
Medicine Cat: "Cats of [insert Clan name here], it is time for

the post of apprentice to [insert name of medicine cat here]?"
Medicine Cat: "Then at the half-moon, you must travel to
Mothermouth to be accepted by StarClan before the other medicine
cats. The good wishes of all [insert Clan name here] will go
with you."
- When a medicine cat apprentice has completed their training,
the medicine cat uses these words at the nest half moon
gathering:
Medicine Cat: "I, [insert medicine cat's name here], medicine
cat of [insert Clan name here], call upon my warrior ancestors
to look down upon this apprentice. [He/She] has trained hard to
understand the way of a medicine cat, and with your help
[he/she] will serve [his/her] Clan for many moons."
"[insert medicine cat apprentice's name here], do you promise to
uphold the ways of a medicine cat, to stand apart from rivalry
between Clan and Clan, and to protect all cats equally, even at
the cost of your life?"
Medicine Cat Apprentice: "I do."
Medicine Cat: "Then by the powers of StarClan I give you your
true name as a medicine cat. [insert medicine cat apprentice's
name here], from this moment you will be known as [insert
medicine cat apprentice's new name here]. StarClan honors your

delicate she-cat. She truly isn't, and she will use her claws on
anyone terrorizing her or her patients.
