       Could the Democrats regain control of the US Senate in 2026 had

       Casey(PA) won re-election in 2024?
       Democrats ended up with 47 US Senate seats in 2025 losing
       WV,MT,OH,and PA).
       Democrats need to win 4 more US Senate seats in 2026 to get back
       in the majority.
       Democrats have to hold onto
       GA(Ossoff-D) assuming Kemp-R is the Republican Nominee. Ossoff
       and Kemp need to be forced in a 1/2027 runoff. Ossoff defeats
       Kemp in a runoff like he did to Perdue in 2020/2021.
       MI(OPEN Peters-D) Buttigieg-D vs Rogers-R. A native MI
       Democratic candidate like Gilchrist,Nessel,Scholten,and Stevens
       will have an easier time winning the general election.
       Nessel is the frontrunner if she decides to run because she has
       won 2 statewide elections(both for MI Attorney General in 2018
       and 2022.)
       NH(OPEN Shaheen-D)Pappas-D is favored to win if Shaheen retires
       and Pappas runs. If Pappas(NH) and Buttigieg or Nessel(MI) win,
       2026 will be the year of the LGBTA.
       VA(OPEN Warner-D)Youngkin-R vs McClellan-D? McClellan is favored
       to win if Warner-D does not run. McClellan served in the VA
       House of Delegates from 2006-2017, VA State Delegates from
       2017-2023 and US House Member from VA since 2023. McClellan
       becomes the 3rd Black female currently serving in the US Senate
       in 2027 joining Blunt Rochester(DE) and Alsobrooks(MD)
       Democrats need to pick up

       NC(Tillis-R)Cooper-D or Nickel-D/49
       OH special(Husted-R)Ryan-D/50
       The 51st Democratic US Senate seats in 2027 will be
       AK(Peltolta-D)
