"Yes actually they are. Slaves vote, they can practice religion,
they have free speech, they bear arms. So stop making
accusations to the state of Columbia."

"You need your eyesight checked friend! I am not the Speaker!"
Boomed the voice of the balding man, "I am the Representative
Joshua Marshall Graham! Appointed personally by His Excellency,
First President of Turkducken, Lance Faraday! I have far more
spine than the feeble Speaker!"
"H-Hey!" Mumbles the Soeaker from behind the podium.

"Only a socialist would disrespect the elderly. Perhaps you need
to go sir, perhaps your state should reconsider you and replace
with someone a bit more comforting and less aggressive."

OOC: I really have nothing to say to that, are you talking about
yourself or the Speaker?

"You keep referring to these workers as 'Slaves'... Do you
realize, My Right Honorable Friend, that Slaves are by
definition 'someone who is legally owned by another person and
is forced to work for that person without pay'. Are you saying
that these workers are indeed Slaves and are property of another
person?

"Maybe you should wake up you fool and realize that we have
outlawed INVOLUNTARY SLAVERY." He said strongly but not too
aggressively. 'Read my lips. They have the rights that they are
given, but they sold themselves into it if they so chose, or
they can sign a contract into indentured servitude. Both are not
paid, but both, upon release are given reparations by the slave
owner for the hard work they gave them. Do a little research
about the state of Columbia before you insult it's good name and
rich history."

OOC: Ah, I'm assuming you mean the Speaker.
"The Speaker is not old friend! He merely acts like it! He is
much younger than myself, and I say I have a right to berate him
seeing as we are old friends and all! The Speaker continuously
comes down with a new 'illness' on a daily basis and continues
to see that fool of a doctor that prescribes him miracle cures
for the top dollar."
From behind the podium the Speaker seemed defeated.
"Recognizing each state's sovereignty.
Realizing that state's have different views in regards to many
things.
Knowing that many consider the act of slavery immoral.
Congress Hereby Mandates that slaveryshall be protected by the
federal government and that no state shall take away another
state's rights to own slaves. This mandate would hereby give all
states the right to choose whether or not to have slavery within
their own states and that no federal official shall rebuke this
and take away the livelihoods of the owners and slaves. This
mandate also recognizes that the abuse of slavesis morally wrong
and shall hereby be outlawed with all owners caught abusing
slavesserving up to 5 years in a state prison."
"Your Bill lacks proper structure, proper wording, and proper
definitions. If this is how you should act in front this
civilized representative body, then you are so warned...
In Your bill, you mention the word slave and slavery multiple
times over. So by definition, you are protecting the institution
of Slavery. There is a distinct difference Representative
between slavery and voluntary servitude."

colleague here."
