Jag McCartney Officially Announces Run and Platform
By: Columbia Confederates Date: August 23, 2015, 8:58 am
---------------------------------------------------------
Jag McCartney recently announced he indeed will be running for
president. McCartney is best known as the current Colombian
Representative, the writer of an Articles of Confederation used
by the former UCA, and a proud secessionist who has lead many
pro-states rights rallies. McCartney was born in the Colombian
town of Bethlehem. He worked hard from a very young age, helping
his father in his sharecropping business. McCartney however
would begin to focus on the original aspects of life by the age
of 25 by becoming a local Baptist preacher. At the age of 36
McCartney engaged in politics by being promoted to the Spiritual
Cabinet under Governor Jeb L. Jones. When Governor Preston was
elected McCartney decided to run for a senate seat for the
plantation town of Monticello. And just recently at the age of
41, McCartney has announced his run for President of the NCSA.
McCartney has also served time in the military from the age of
20-23, he received the metal of honor for his battles in South
Africa against anti-white blacks. McCartney released these as
his key points to the platform. McCartney will be running as a
Jefferson Party Candidate.
Constitutional Reform
On day one I will call upon congress to make a
constitutional change. It is clear that there are many things
wrong with our constitution and one of those being its lack of
respect for the rights of states. I hope this can be discussed
in a civil discourse. This Convention would be to benefit all
states and not just a few, as all would be included and all
voices would be heard. It's time to put the power back in the
hands of the states and the people and out of the hands of a
bloated government.
Land Expansion
We the people of the NCSA have every right to expand, in
fact I've been pushing this for a very long time in my state,
but due to laws and the current constitution our colonies and
imperial states are not recognized by the NCSA, it's time for
that to change. I would allow a southward expansion into the
oceans, Mexico, and South America.
Agrarian Economics
If there is anything I learned as a kid it's that hard
work pays off and the industrialized world really hasn't built a
strong moral ground for anyone. It's created corporate greed in
capitalism and thievery as well as imprisonment in the dense
view of socialism. Agrarianism has helped Colombia prosper for
ages. We currently are a top producer in cotton and it brings in
the money to fund our state. Not only that but we have gained
morals. Working hard has made our nation great and trusting in
God alone has made us even better than we could've imagined.
While I wouldn't force upon an agrarian economy I would offer
incentives to any state that wishes to be involved in a pact to
help grow out morals and grounds in God through the agrarian
system.
A Message From Senator Jag McCartney
Hello, my name is Jag McCartney, I grew up like most of
y'all. I wasn't wealthy and I lived off the land. I understood
what Independence meant from a young age. I know that things
have been rough recently but I'm the guy that can bring this
nation together. It'll take all of us to get back on track but I
think we could do it. Please consider me for your vote on
September 1st
" A question sir. You talk of wanting to bring Constitutional
change. What are three areas you think need the most amending?
"You also say you will call on Congress to make that change.
How will you achieve this when because of actions of your state
and voicing of issues dear to your nation many of the states are
distrustful of you. How can you initiate change if you do not
have the numbers. Also do you plan to annouce who you will call
on to be your VP. Any deals in the shadows of Congress been
made?

"Well the thing is, I can't change a thing, but I'll sign it in
as long as it doesn't violate state's rights. I think that 3
things I'd like Congress to look into, even just the slightest
bit would be A) Nullification, as in we should have a discussion
over it, B) Restricting of Presidential Authorities and C) I'd
have to say something to keep Congress held responsible for it's
actions, so that we have a more efficient Congressional System
instead of the flim flam all over the place stuff we have going
on right now at this very moment."
"I assume you are referring to a short lived war to protect
State's Rights and slavery. Well the thing is, we kinda won the
war. We got people's attention and the current President has
even acknowledged that things need to be changed in the
Constitution to protect the things we were protecting, a state's
rights. As for slavery, I completely understand. I know some of
my friends in Congress have told me, maybe it just needs a name
change, and he's right the term slave is outdated in our system,
and I think if people sat down and read our laws and read with
an open mind you'd see something interesting, it's that we still
respect that individual's rights, even as a servant. If Congress
doesn't want a change then I'd ask Congress to go to the State's
and ask their people what they want. I can't force anything to
happen as President and I wouldn't force anything at all to
happen. As for VP, no that is not going to be talked about now.
I have some thoughts but I'm not decided, I still have to win."

A man with a faint Frijstaater twang asks: "By only advocating
for expansion southwards, are you not inherently discriminating
against northern states, who might seek to expand northwards?
It seems as if your expansion allowances would only benefit
southerners, such as your home state, while denying northerners
the 'right' to expand as you see it."

"I would be open to an expansion northwards, if you mean the
Canadian Territories. Sure, I'm open for expansion period."
