President Gray extends the Olive Branch

President Gray addressed the nation from the Presidential House,
and had something to say on the war in Colombia.
"Fellow NeoConfederates, I come to you all with a heavy heart.
Right now as we speak, many soldiers from multiole states arr
fighting in Colombia to try and bring Colombia back into the
NeoConfederacy. The bloodshed is expected to be high, especially
the Colombian side, as they are grossly outnumbered. I have
failed upon many of the promises I made during my campaign, due
in part to this war. I will make no excuses when I say that I am
human and have failed you all as President. But I still love my
country and wish not to see it fall. I therefore give Colombia
the chance to renounce its secession and rejoin the
NeoConfederate States of America once again. I will not say that
all will be forgiven, as lawsuits will likely come in the
aftermath, but if Colombia will come back and lay down their
arms now, I can assure you that I will do everything in my power
to lessen the penalty for their transgressions. I will even give
Governor Preston a Presidential Pardon. The issue of
nullification in the Courts and through a state convention about
the amending of the Constitution. Colombia, I offer you the
olive branch. Think of your famiiles, your women, and your
children. Stop this war. Surrender and we will be merciful and
let you back into this country with as much forgiveness as can
be spared. I ask this in the name of peace and stability. If you
do not accept the offer, there may not be much of a Colombia
left soon. I will send in the National Military of the conflict
continues. Consider my offer. God Bless the NeoConfederacy."

Colombian Letter
We agree to such things. We shall return to the Union on behalf
that we see that this war will only shed blood on this nation.
But, we do not take responsibility for the Battle of Jericho. We
ask that you respect our cause and do not make a mockery out of
it. We don't wish this to be an instance where the victors write
history. The victors always get the spoils however, and you
shall receive yours. We return with are arms in full extent. We
forgive the government for trespassing unto private Colombian
property. We also return with a new sheet written by a Justice
and a Senator, it would replace the current wreck left under our
Constitution. We hope to speak more in the future and we assume
this will now allow us access to the Congressional floor and the
ability to run someone for the office of President.

"You assumed correctly. No one shall be blamed for the Battle of
Jericho, per se. Both sides had their reasons, and while we may
blame each other, it is up to the People to decide who was right
and who was wrong. Both sides will be buried with honor and
respect to the dead will be given. We forgive Colombia for its
nullification and hope that all may be reconciled. We rejoice at
Colombia's return to the NeoConfederacy, and Colombia is a state
once more. Governor Preston is given a Pardon for any and all
future accusations, and Colombia may now insert a candidate into
the Presidential race."
