Date: August 22, 2015, 12:10 pm
---------------------------------------------------------
Aradesh Maharaj, Leader of the Moderates in Turkducken,
announces his plans for running for President of the NCSA.
Aradesh is a long time opposition to Turkducken President Lance
Faraday, supporting increased military spending, the life of
Turkduckden's ban on automobiles, and the abolishment of the
secular State.
While his announcement is scheduled to happen today, no formal
platform has been announced.

Running as an independent in the political race, Aradesh Maharaj
has formally released his Presidential Platforms.
Expansion of the Military
--- Quote ---
> Expanding the Confederal Army is important, we need to have
more diversity in the recruitment process, and States should
take steps to arm the National Military.
--- End Quote ---
Religious Protectionism
--- Quote ---
> Religion is a sacred institution and should not be violated by
the States, we should prevent the taxation of religious
institutions, and enact protections into place that protect the
Freedom of Religion.
--- End Quote ---
Expansion of States Rights
--- Quote ---
> Currently States fear for the worst, "Are we going to be
invaded because we didn't pay taxes? Because someone disagreed
with us? Because they do not respect our rule of law?" These
questions should not be asked in a free society, we should
expand States Rights to protect from this distortion of power.
--- End Quote ---
Economic Expansion
--- Quote ---
> As it stands our newly appointed Financial Minister is a step
in the right direction, the free market needs to be respected by
all States in the Confederacy. It is also a shame that we remain
so divided amongst ourselves, with the construction in my home
state of rail-lines between Turkducken, the American Reich, and
Appalachia, we aim to end this division amongst ourselves and
unite for a better whole. One of my top priorities, is that on
day one, I would ask Congress to vote on a bill to expand our
criminally non-existent Inter-State Infrastructure.
--- End Quote ---
These are his Major Positions, any questions can be fielded
here.

Do you believe in a state's rights to nullify a law if it
affects the state's way of living and culture as when Columbia
refused to support a confederate police force and nuclear weapon
laws?

"I believe such things are conditional, I would respect
nullification if it wasn't directly inferring with the
Governments own point. Say if they tried to restrict your
religious freedom, or unjustly tax you, that would be
acceptable. I myself did not fully understand the reasoning
behind Columbia's succession."

"So therefore you stand against a state's right to nullify any
law as it sees fit?"

"I would say I'm undecided, it's definitely an issue that's
worth discussing, but how can Congress pass laws that people
will ignore? Irregardless States Rights are not effected by the
elected President, we have checks and balances for a reason."

allowing a government to fire upon its own citizens?"

could stop wars between states? What rights could we restrict
with that kind of power?"

"What is the candidate's opinion on devolving further power of
the Central government to State governments. For example,
stripping Congress's powers to enact laws on a regional level.
Would he do so or would support an amendment that does?"

" I would support such an amendment, so long as it is not too
extreme, and if it is the will of the people I will sign it."
