Turkducken General Factbook

The Confederate State of Turkducken is ruled by His Excellency,
President Lance Faraday of the Socialist Community of
Turkducken. His Excellency was elected, unanimously, after his
peaceful deposition of the Mad King of Turkducken. The Mad King
was spared, with Presidential Pardon, and His Excellency began
ruling immediately. Rather young and (as some would say) naïve
for a ruler of a sovereign nation. Doubts that were formed early
in his Presidency by Moderates and Conservatives in Patience,
were quickly dispelled, or at least suppressed, by his strong
national policies and populist attitude towards governing. The
Representative Joshua Marshall Graham, Turkducken's State
Representative, is the President's advisor and friend. The
Representative was a long standing veteran of the 100-Year
Conflict and met the President when he was forming his Army of
Peace.

[center]Businesses in Turkducken[/center]
Turkducken National Motor Company (Est. 1920) is the current
provider of Motor Transportation to the Confederate State of
Turkducken as well as the Turkducken National Army. Established
just five years at the historical point of origin of the
100-Year Conflict, Turkducken Motor Company was churning out
motorized machinery everyday until the end of the Mad King's
reign. While the company no longer produces cars it still, more
or less, remains unchanged in its purpose in Turkducken. The
Company still produces motorized agricultural tools (First
introduced to the common Turk in the Mad King's "Industry or
Bust" Campaign), still produces machines of war, and still
retains a monopoly over the entire Automobile Industry. The only
substantial difference is when it was Nationalized at the
beginning of the President's rule.
Turkducken National Air Service (Est. 1954) represents the
entire aerospace industry in Turkducken, and all of its
collective progress. Nationalized at the beginning of the
President's rule, this rather unsuccessful business, is finally
beginning to turn a profit. With the gradual modernization of
Turkducken society, culture, and science the Aerospace industry
has been the largest benefactor. Before reaching this modest
level of success the National Air Service hardly made flight
capable vehicles (some being just glorified gliders) and was
widely considered a joke among most Turks. This rapid growth in
the industry is widely accredited to the deal made between
Enduraca's Air Fortuna and the Confederacy, this combined with a
successful Space Program has sparked innovation and creativity
in the medium.
Robert and Robert Ammunition and Artillery Production Company
(Commonly called, and known as, R&R) is the largest provider of
Industrial grade job providers in Turkducken. Established by
Robert E. House and Elijah Robert Heinz, R&R quickly became the
most desirable job provider in Turkducken this is in light of
R&R's Progressive work policies. (ie. Shorter work days, safer
working conditions, and an established minimum wage) The owners,
related only in coincidence not by blood, initially discouraged
by the measly profits, began to see an upswing in sales for
their care to quality and professionalism. Eventually as the
harsh working conditions of other competitively owned factories
came out, workers began to leave their jobs seeking employment
with R&R. Using the opportunities of failing businesses, an
interest in employment, and an upswing in sale, R&R began to buy
up other factories and expanding their business across
Turkducken. The rest, is as they say, is history.

While the Way of Zuma is considered by most a Religion, it has
evolved to become synonymous with life as a Turk and created the
divides between Moderate, Traditionalist, Socialist, and
Conservative in Turkducken.

History of Immigration in Turkducken[/center]
Originally a Colony of the British Empire, Turkducken was
quickly abandoned when low profits combined with an aggressive
Native populace convinced the failing Empire to seek money
elsewhere. The original Anglo-Saxon colonists were left in their
new home to adjust and adapt, without the interference of the
Empire a peace treaty was established between the Colonists and
the Native Tribes. However the overall population of White
Colonists was much smaller compared to that of the Native
Tribes, and the Colonists sought more emigrants from Europe,
during this time internal strife within many Eastern European
countries caused many peasants or members of the middle class to
seek safety and security elsewhere. Italians, Russians, the
Polish, Scandinavians, all sought refuge in the new world, these
emigrants (while the total population of "White" people in
Turkducken grew in this period of mass emigration) eventually
grew to outnumber the traditional Anglo-Saxons that had
previously dominated the white population, much to the distaste
of the original colonists. (Eventually the Anglo-Saxon ethnicity
would disappear, either becoming to intermingled with Eastern
European families or sometimes just by leaving Turkducken.) As
Turkducken became a more desirable place to live the British
Empire (In some of its last waning years.) sought to retake the
Colony it had once owned, ultimately this failed due to a short
conflict that saw an alliance between the Native Tribes and what
would eventually become Turkducken. After helping the Colonists
win their own Independence, Native and White relations rose to
an all time high, until the eventual approval of citizenship for
any Native peoples who wanted to join the new country of
Turkducken.
Many years later the first King of Turkducken took the
throne and became fast friends with the Barbary States, the
friendship itself was quite strange as both the Sultan of the
Barbary States and the King of Turkducken had no common language
and the cultural differences were immense, (some historians
today accept the theory that both were secret lovers and shared
letters of intimacy across the ocean.) this left the door open
for the historically oppressed Shi'a group of religious Muslims
to migrate to Turkducken. These emigrants primarily left their
homes to seek religious tolerance and to escape the oppression
of the Sunni dominate Muslim world. It was also at this time
that many escaped slaves began pouring into Turkducken from
Columbia and other slave holding States, these escaped slaves
were surprised at the tolerance of Turkducken and with the
establishment of the Episcopalian Church quickly became a major
political player in Turkducken. Historians are not sure when but
at some point in Turkducken's history Indians began to migrate
to Turkducken, the opinion of when is widely divided between two
points of contention before the 100-Year Conflict or during the
100-Year Conflict. As extensive rewriting of history has
occurred many times through the many rulers of Turkducken the
facts are unknown. With the establishment of the American Reich,
Asian peoples began migrating to escape the Allied powers, and
then further escape the Reich's ethnic prosecution by fleeing to
Turkducken.
