First Cultural Competiton

Welcome to the 1st Cultural Competiton. While we may be in a
state of disarray and war that should not stop us from showing
off what makes your state culture stand out.
West Phoenicia opens the competition for all. Rules are as
follows;
1. Post a picture of something unique to your state that
embraces your culture. It needs to be a building or monument or
a wonder of the NCSA (world) think palaces, museum; opera house;
obelisks etc. Its yours to select and be as creative as you
like. Aside from the photo a short description of what it is and
why it symbolises something to your state.
2. Competiton will be open until we have enough entrants.
3. Voting will than take place. Highest number of votes
determine the winner.

Name: Dei palacium ( translation Palace of God)
Location: Agape, West Phoenicia
Description: Headquaters of the the State Church. Pontifex
Angelika I head of the State Church resides there In her With
thousands of other men and women of the cloth. Daily prayers are
conducted in this opulent palace chapels.. Eloborate works of
art, tapestries and priceless furniture decorate all areas of
this palace. Walls are decorate and paintings depicting the
Bible. Gold, silver, ivory and other precious gems adorn the
interior and gold domes radiate a heavenly beauty.

Name: National Palace (Burg Hohnstein)
Location: 15 miles south of capital Felsenberg
Description: Multiuse. The National Palace is the official
residence of the head of state, but it also widely accessible to
the public. The palace houses Frijstaat's largest art
collection, a museum of Frijstaater history, and the National
Theatre, where plays and music are performed on a rotating
monthly basis. Shortly before the creation of the Frijstaater
state, Burg Hohnstein was the private residence of a wealthy
land owner and early Frijstaat settler (Koenraad van der Bijl),
but was willed to the new nation upon the land owner's death (12
years after the creation of Frijstaat), as he had no heirs.
Entrance to the museums and theater performances is free to the
public, due to van der Bijl's generous endowment established in
his will, which continues to pay for the operating costs
associated therewith.

Name: Diddyland Planetarium
Location: Ditmar City, Diddyland
The beautifully designed planetarium, which is placed inside a
park of Diddyland's capital, right next to a wonderful lake is
one of the city's architectural highlights. Away from the city
center, where skyscrapers occupy most of the place, this is a
popular place for the citizens to relax, jog, and get rid of
their stress.

OOC: This was really difficult for me, I didn't want to do a
"Palace" because a lot of people are but oh well, and my vote is
Frijstaat as it stands.
His Excellency's Residency
Located just outside of Patience, Turkducken
Formally the Mad King's Summer Housing, now converted into the
President's current home. The two story house, with side
attachments of a stable and guest quarters (although formally
where the servants lived), the current room layout consists of a
War Room, Office, Master Bedroom, two bathrooms, Kitchen,
storage (in the basement), with some other more classified
attachments. The Home is self sufficient, powered and provided
by renewable and self sufficient resources. As this is a central
belief to Turks.

OOC: Haha yeah I don't watch it much (I'm 16 so parents restrict
that) but I do like the storyline. Brutal but realistic.
