We Need To Change

Listen, this is not directed at anyone specifically but we
really need to make some changes. We are not near as organized
as we should be, everyone wants to have things their way and it
is just not how it works. We have things happening on the NS
page and other things happening on here. We can not have a
battle without one person disagreeing about what should or
should not be allowed or what should count or what should not
count. Clarity and organization are they keys to success, not
just on NS forums but in life. We can't all be the biggest and
best nation. Not only because it does not work, it is not fun
because it takes way from realism. This is not about the civil
war, that is just a rp thing for fun but we really need to take
a step back because this is turning into a third grade class
with the teacher not showing up all week.
If people want to have battles, that is fine but we really need
to find out a way to have a specific system that makes it
realistic. If the real world was like our forum, Vietnam would
have been a 12 hour war in the favor of the US, but as you could
see from history, the big guy is not always a guaranteed winner.
War, battle, raids and everything should be closely looked over
by a secretary of interior. And when it comes to sec of
interior, it should be the most important position on this site
besides the president and in many ways, even greater than the
president because it is the referee.
Role play in itself has to be done more realistically and
somewhat in a time frame. When a state decides to succeed or
break a law, they would not just be thrown off the face of the
earth. If thats how things were done, Iran, North Korea and so
on would not be here anymore and instead we would create a
cotton candy theme park in their place. I am not saying we need
to be 100% realistic, but we really need to be close as we can
because thats what makes things fun. If we are going to be a
nation and not a world union, I agree, the national government
should have more power and really states would not even have
militaries. But if thats how we want things to be, there needs
to be a large war or people have to given in an no longer have
militaries.
Bottom line we should all take our egos down for a few days, sit
around in congress, ooc even and put things back in order. I am
not saying wipe our the government or change everything but as a
manager in real life and as someone who watches the news more
than anyone probably, this is not how any world would run. I was
part of another region once a while back and it was amazing how
well controlled it was and how realistic it was. I would wake up
in the middle of the night because I would want to post
something or had a role play with someone and wanted to see if
they posted back. People are going to move from the NS page and
see the chaos that is going on here and feel so overwhelmed and
decide " screw it, not worth it." I have even came on a few
times and was about to create a huge role play even just on my
own for my nation and I have said to myself, "whats the point,
it won't matter and it will just be shrugged off."
Just wanted to bring this up because, it is important to the
survival of the region.

I just sent Gondor a similar message. This region used to have
an independent SOI who would not be involved in a certain rp and
they would pick out the inaccuracies or extremes of a post to be
fixed so it was fair.

Let's change then, I'm more than willing to do this. We just
need unilateral support and to actually do something about it.

I don't thing its about changing. Its about spreading out a rp.
Not one nation declares war and 1 post later they are being
bombed to oblivion or fear when you wake up wondering if someone
has nuked you or poisoned your president.
The way fhe government is set up is good. The way states can
have their own creative laws, military, political, social and
government type is good too.
Just rp dont need to be over in a day.
As for the ns states page. Turkdurken has been doing a good job
of coaxing those players to come on here. I thought that board
was for messages not regional rp

We need a vote and many are not going to want to change because
they feel like the time put in will be wasted or the effort will
be wasted or greedy of all, they will lose their advantage over
the many below them. But thats sad in many ways. We have a great
forum site, great members and the foundation for something
amazing. This does not need we need a new map or a new
constitution but we do need hard reform in many ways IC and OOC.
We should all treat the President in many ways like a true
president, but we all have lost respect for order and realism
here. If people don't want to change it would be like being
extremely ill and just hoping it gets better on its own, which
is obviously crazy but when people refuse to except reality or
want to stay on top why the rest suffer, that will surely lead
to people just leaving, not going and this region falling.

The SOI should be like our pope. The most honest and unbiased
person ever. It would even make sense to treat him like a pope
lol and the position should be for a real life year or even
life.

I am just saying if we found someone who we all felt was the
most honest person and respect the position and not who they
favored, once he would make a decision when it came to war or
role play it would be done, not arguing or anything. It would
also allow for someone to provide a balance we can all get
behind.

Lol. We do treat the President as a true President. Depending
on what political party you are, some support some don't
but what did you want to change?
I have no issues with states having a bigger military and yes I
may not like nukes. But I rather rp my Baroness going off rather
than everyone giving them up at once.
Some people have worked really hard. We should not take that for
them. Just the way RP is played out needs to be better worked
out.
RP Mod I am in favour of. But in all honesty really needs to be
an outsider?
