"Hmm...we must consider the technological aspects of Columbia,
as far as any intelligence suggests they are operating way below
modern technological standards, we're talking about
breech-loaded rifles, coal burning engines, elaborate
contraptions that could be highly inefficient. Another thing is
that we could take the fight directly upriver, lighter smaller
ships can navigate the inner waterways, this in effect would
strangle their war effort and effectively strangles their
supplies and river cities." The President downed a glass of
sweat tea, "This is the best solution if we are not violating
the airspace of Hightah, which at this point is the preferable
alternative. Now may we begin ground invasion discussions?
Foreign advisors from DEN have stressed that my military is
better suited to fight a defensive engagement, my military
advisors have drawn a plan of action following this idea. We
initially target strategic locations, towns, bases, industrial
sectors, and build a heavily defended and entrenched positions
in these areas, my Armies will provide security and engineering
efforts, while Pro-NCSA coalition forces wage decisive strikes
from these zones. We would beat them down while avoiding
       preventable casualties."

Vladimir sat back in his chair and watched the computer screen
blare in front of him. An aide was by his side, giving him
information from the recent events. Both of them waited for a
second before a phone call came, and the aide nodded. Vladimir
turned towards the computer, and opened a window. Then the call
began. He sat back and watched, and when he could see the
others, he smiled. "Ring ring ring. Destiny is calling. Don't
bother catching me up. I already know."

Albrecht zur Linde replies: "The Reich is happy with you
maintaining a defensive role, and this would allow us to commit
more troops to the offensive, if you would be willing also to
defend the Reich and Appalachia, if it became necessary.
Now, the Reichsführers und Reichstag are divided as to how to
prosecute the war, but united in that it must be done. If you
vehemently oppose the Hightah plan, we won't enact it, and
instead will go the roundabout route by sea, though this does
risk the intervention of West Phoenicia -- even though that
would be illegal if we stay in international waters until the
landing, as is my plan. Either way, the ever-victorious
Wehrmacht, Luftwaffe, and SS of the Reich are willing and able
to begin operations immediately. We need only agree between
       these two courses of action.
It seems like your will that we execute the amphibious landing.
If this is so, please confirm unambiguously, and it will be
done. Our close support aircraft will not be able to strike
directly via such a circuitous route, but if our Pioneeren lay
an airstrip and supply depot at the beachhead, we can attack
       most forcefully from the South.
Please make your preference clear quickly; every moment may
strengthen Columbia's defenses and, as outdated as their arms
may be, I've told you how awful a toll one hunting rifle can
       wreak."

Have you been listening the entire time?"

Reichsführerin-SS Habich responds: Espionage is to be expected
and it does not overly concern me overly much in this instance,
unless the source is Columbia. Die Erworbenen Namen is far away
and not likely to become involved in a way that would disrupt
our plans, or, even in the worst case, would not be able to
disrupt them due to that distance if they are enacted with
alacrity. The question put forth by the Reichsführer-General
remains the most important matter, and I do agree that time is
       of the essence.
The worst thing at this moment would be to delay our plans.

(( OOC In that case, the Hightah plan becomes far more
desirable, since an amphibious landing if opposed would be
       extremely dangerous.))
Reichsführerin-SS Habich stresses the Hightah plan of attack and
Reichsführer-General zur Linde can no longer voice much
       opposition.
"It seems that airstrikes traversing Hightah must commence
immediately and I am ready and willing to speak before the
Reichstag in favor of that course, given new information."

OOC: Trinity and Hightah don't exist.
       IC:
"Why, President, a good spy would never give away his secrets."
Vladimir replied, and chuckled to himself. He leaned back and
lit a cigar. "One of my satellites was monitoring the
conversation. I got every last bit of it. Only just decided to
patch in to the intercepted signals. Bad security, I guess.
Tovarishch Habich, you are wrong on both counts. You need a
better intelligence committee. The fourth fleet is actually
right below Alabama as we speak, and has four carriers within
striking distance of any of your plans. And besides, not like
       I'd be against you.
"Turkducken can maintain a defensive role, but we'll be
attacking on two fronts. The 6th Spetznaz army is right below
Alabama, and we can land in a moments notice. You, on the other
hand, my German comrades, have to traverse West Phonecian
waters, something that would not be easy because of the recent
fighting. Perhaps even dangerous. You can attack by land,
however, with Turkducken soldiers covering the flanks and
holding the land. An east and south assault. It'll cut them off
       before they can do anything."
