Turkducken Prepares for War
By: Confederacy of Turkducken Date: August 8, 2015, 7:08 pm

While His Excellency abhors violence and wishes to avoid it, it
seems to be inevitable. The President officially ordered drills
to begin in the Army, and the Navy and Air Force to be on high
alert. He encourages all able bodies citizens of Turkducken to
volunteer and has increased wages for military industries. He is
set on creating a war based economy to meet the needs of the
State. Ironically however the President has not announced any
new funding for Defense and it remains at 6% of the GDP, Welfare
and Healthcare remain top priorities.

Defense Spending has risen a measly .5%, however in light of the
relative diffusement of foreign tensions some economic experts
point out this may be a good thing.
In Secret
President Faraday sighed, "Its good to be home." he thought to
himself, "If only it were under less stressful circumstances."
Driving up leisurely up the road by carriage, the wooden box
rocked and swayed with the motion and unevenness of the unpaved
dirt road. Coming up to the last hill he saw it, home, the two
story building was a beautiful sight red bricks building the
Colonial Mansion, tight geometric shapes forming the outline and
walls making up the home, the light smoke coming out of the main
chimney, the river running directly in front of the home itself.
"Absolutely uplifting." was the only thing he could think of
when he saw his aesthetically pleasing exterior. He continued to
drive up the road until he was interrupted by the sounds of
distant buzzing, recognizing the sound he tried to continue
undisturbed as his advisors approached ever closer. Unhitching
the horse from the carriage he guided the beast to the stables,
the buzzing growing ever closer and louder. Putting the horse
into its pen, the buzzing had reached a deafening climax, the
advisors had arrived.

Meeting in the dusty basement of the home the President and his
cabinet of war advisors meet, some for the first time, to
discuss formal plans for the war. The High General Michael
Bishop, along with the 3 generals of the three main divisions of
the army (John T. Shephard, Ian M. Harding, Richard "Cain"
Kasich), Representative Joshua Marshall Graham (a close friend
of the President), Speaker of the House Reginald Swayze (A close
advisor of the President), and Captain of the Bureau of Internal
Security Yvonne Brüheimer.
